Quoting: BG-Fan [link to d1jqu7g1y74ds1.cloudfront.net] That looks really really close to mars, BG-Fan! Interesting pic. Thanks! SK Good chance the coma of SS could envelop Mars. |

Great term, tho...Snidley Whiplash! Great! Here are a couple of pics that I found today: And :6/10-X2flare: While these sun spots and flares are NOT life-threatening they do have the habit of INCREASING CURRENT SEVERE WEATHER! Check out the forecasts for the central U.S. states on the link on intro page--these storms are getting gasolene poured on them! Also the "Uh Yen Candidate" Tropical storm "Christiana" off the S.Coast of Mexico will be a full-blown hurricane (as a result of these flares) by the weekend and be going up the coastline toward CA! Heads-up! SK I hear ya ... that's why I mentioned Vin Diesel and his Goat. It fits the XXX bill !! Comets set off the flares (discharge the solar capacitor). We aren't in line with Jacques orbit and the flares but I think Venus will be over the next 60 days. Maybe one of the locals here could break out the telescope next month and see if Jacques and our Sun won't light Venus up with some nice atmospheric eye candy. In this Suspicious Observers video they record the sundiving comet from Lasco C2 @ about 1 min in. Last Edited by Birkeland on 06/11/2014 08:53 AM |

It was odd to me that Suspicious Observer didn't mention the sun-diving comet...and then when he did it was just like a short aside, like it wasn't important. He has been preoccupied with his new RV Solar Observatory so...news has slipped a little bit. Over all, though, I think he does a great job--can't expect him to be the total source of our news, anyways! Good to have multiple sources. Thanks for your posts. SK |

O.K. you guys who have been arguing about the "true-skinny" on the solar flares yesterday and today--This is a "reversal" of the report on the effects of the flares by NASA's Space Weather.com reported in their "Spaceweather.com" site. (And, this is the reason why the people like BP and Suspicious Observer sometimes have MORE ACCURATE DATA than NASA because they are reading the actual stats and seeing the films--just release a "boiler-plate" (ho-hum) version of the events. They don't ALWAYS get it right the first time out either--so...bottomline is, you need to WAIT AT LEAST 24 HOURS when seeing any solar "EVENT" to make sure that what has been reported hasn't been changed! So far, as of 6-11-2014 at 8:41 A.M EST we have had FOUR (4) X-Class flares, 2 M-class flares and a sun-diving comet! (see Suspicious Observer's video for 6-11-2014)...Very interesting combination of events! [link to spaceweather.com] Snippet from "Spaceweather.com" This is regarding the 2 X flares from yesterday... INCOMING CME: Yesterday's double X-flare may have produced a geoeffective CME after all. [SK: It was a TRIPLE X-Class event, by the way! lol!] At first it appeared that Earth was outside the line of fire, but a closer look at the CME reveals an Earth-directed component. SK Yeah, he plays it kinda coy sometimes, but he's making a name for himself. He was invited to the Electric Universe (Thunderbolts version-I think) annual conference in NM this year as a guest speaker. He does due diligence to his work with plenty of links and special reporting like the star-water series. |

Click to view a movie of the explosion from the Solar and Heliospheric Observatory SK Just thought you guys might want this "heads-up" Solarham.net (link on intro paragraph pg.1) says there is a 35% chance in the next 24 hrs. for yet a 5th (THAT'S FIVE) X-CLASS FLARE and a 65 % chance for a large M-CLASS FLARE. If we don't get a large earthquake from all of this, I'll be very surprised. If you are in an earthquake-prone area, please be sure that your extra water and preps are up-to-date. The Sumatra quake of 2004 went off during a combination of X-class flares and gamma-ray burst from extra- solar system supernova....Just sayin. Be Safe! SK |

If we had to count on mainstream media--we wouldn't know what the hell was going on! lol! Comet ISON was my first comet to follow. Over the summer I stumbled across the Thunderbolts material on the Electric Comet. Then in October that got refined with James McCanney and I was real impressed in how he predicted coma color changes and structure developments, while the mainstream tended to be reactively 'befuddled', even career long professional comet dogs came off surprised by ISON's outbursting and developments, wbtw were all solar flare related. One of McCanney's last predictions on ISON before perihelion was a lowered orbit due to tail drag, which would be seen as the comet changing speeds. Amazingly, on SO's live coverage that day they reported ISON's speed changing. move up to 1:06:00 |

It showed a direct line between the sun and earth --an earth-facing FLARE-EVENT which has something to do with Comet Jacques. We'll see this weekend. Have your preps ready and prepare to do WITHOUT CELL PHONE AND INTERNET!! (Hope the crop circle is wrong!) SK Last Edited by SilentlyKnowing on 06/11/2014 09:43 PM |
