You who viewed his affection towards the little boy as wrong would also see something perverse in petting a cat or dog, an act of platonic affection. He was right apprently. I have show animals affection and I don't find it to be an embarassing secret or a revelation that sheds a bad light in myself. I show animals affection to the obvious disdain of certain individuals but I don't concern myself with thier opinions. Such are not worthy of life for the same reason those who feel the same of children aren't.

I refrain from showing children I do not know affection simply because of the unwritten prohibition of such acts that empowers certain individuals to mouth off in a dangerous, provacative and potentially violent way, not because I think it's wrong .

I see children every day who could use an act of encouragement or to feel loved by an unknown ally.

My children and my friends' children who know me see me as a gentle bear who is slow to physically anger, but would defend them to the death, not some sort of pervert. To your dismay they feel safe around me.

What is really sad is people like the ones who posted the garbage above would villify me to them if they had the chance, and use brainwashing at the pulpit of deciet in thier local church to do it.

His memory of the first time he "did it" is a little hazy today, but Russian President Vladimir Putin reassured reporters that his recollection of the last time he had sex is clear as an unmuddied lake.

"I can't remember exactly when I did it for the first time," a laughing Putin said after completing a live two-hour webcast during which he fielded questions from web surfers around the world on a wide range of questions.

"But I certainly remember when I did it the last time, to the exact minute," the Russian president said.

Putin, 53, did not provide further details.

Organizers of the Kremlin webcast, which included the BBC and the Russian Internet portal Yandex, kept track ahead of Thursday's event of the most popular questions submitted by web surfers, and among them was a question on when Putin lost his virginity.

That question was not put to the Russian leader during the live webcast, but it was asked after the webcast by journalists in the Kremlin studio where the event was held.

I know its sad I know I've just smiled or pated a child and gotten funny looks. {And I'm a grandmother} I don't touch other peoples children, but I still smile or make a funny face at them sometimes. To the grandmother above, if I were YOU I would use my social status to make a differnece, there is alot of respect on the parts of most people for thier elders, and our elders should pass down the way to be to the youngsters. And this new news just solidifies my reaction to the video that it was a gesture of 'sorry I'm leaving you such a screwed up world, and it is about to get much worse.'

That was the feeling I got.

Why else would Putin need the petting gesture 'like a cat'? Cats give us reassurance, show us love and acceptance. It seemed to me he was asking for that.
