For claiming that God had a personal relationship with her in order to accomplish His will. Isn't that what Moses was doing? How many times does God use us in our daily lives? Jesus is the Way. |

[link to www.wucnews.com] Unless he is speaking "ex cathedra", he is not speaking for the church. He is entitled to his opinion. The part about protestants, or evangelicals, or charismatics being "made in a laboratory" is just his own opinion -- and he didn't express himself very well, in my opinion, and -- yes -- I am a Catholic. On this matter, in this form and way, he does not speak for me. He likes to speak "off the cuff" a lot -- not very diplomatic and not a very good idea for a pope. He needs to lay off the twitter, too, IMO, and really think about what he wants to say to the world. No wonder he seems to be taking some "time off". Maybe he is regrouping -- but he doesn't seem to be doing it right. Last Edited by Barstool Bob on 07/05/2014 02:29 AM |

I don't think the message was aimed towards CAtholics, he's talking to Protestants and everyone else who follows Jesus. I know, and -- again -- I say: he is not speaking in such a way as to define Catholic doctrine or dogma and, therefore, this utterance does not represent necessarily the teaching of the church. It is offensive to protestants, evangelicals and charismatics both within and without the church. It was extremely ill-said. |

No where in the Bible does it say one must go to a Catholic priest to speak to Jesus. Just the opposite, Jesus clearly stated when 2 or more are gathered in my name He is there. |

Pope Francis described as "dangerous" the temptation to believe that one can have "a personal, direct, immediate relationship with Jesus Christ without communion with and the mediation of the church." [link to www.wucnews.com] "Obviously, he said, it is not always easy to walk the path of faith with other people. "Sometimes it's tiring. It can happen that a brother or sister creates problems for us or scandalizes us, but the Lord entrusted his message of salvation to human beings, to us, to witnesses," he said. "It is through our brothers and sisters with their gifts and their limits," the pope said, "that he comes to us and makes himself known. This is what belonging to the church means. Remember: Being Christian means belonging to the church. If your first name is Christian, your last name is Member of the Church." At the end of his talk, the pope asked people to join him in praying that they would never "give into the temptation of thinking you can do without others, without the church, that you can save yourself, of thinking you can be a laboratory Christian. Christians, he said, are not manufactured in isolation, but belong to a long line of believers who handed on the faith and challenged one another to live it fully." I totally agree! Ok I'm SICK of this shit. Listen, turn in your fucking PEDOPHILES and we'll consider taking you seriously. Till then you're full of shit. ^He's Right You Know^ Not only that, how about the cultures and civilizations they have destroyed years ago ( think South America as one example). Not to mention the Crusades. There are more. Fuck that evil shit. Where was Jesus in any of that? Nowhere. |

A priest can't make you holy by touching you; and if he's unclean by a dead body, he will make you unclean... and popes claim their right of decent because they were touched by a man who was touched by mass murderers. . This Jesuit pope took a horrible oath to kill Christians with daggers and poison. To lie about Christians, and to decieve. . Read the Jesuit oath, to see the real heart of this pope. . He took an oath to decieve, that's the devil's job. . Look up all of the inquisitions; you probably only heard of the Spanish Inquisition, there was an inquisition everywhere!
