Is this why Jehovah's Witness only take NON-blood, substitute... transfusions? What does OSHA know?

Correct me if I'm wrong but for a planned surgery a patient can bank some of his own blood to be used to replace what is lost during the operation. That would not violate that transfusion law and infection would be limited to tools used rather than tools and products.
