User ID: 71993477 United States 04/19/2016 06:54 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | If you prep by stocking up on supplies for bodily needs, how do you know how much you'll need for the rest of your life if you don't know how long you are to live? What if you stock up for month, something happens so you are covered for that long, but what then? What if after you run out of your supplies your life is not over, yet situation is still the same and nowhere to get more supplies? I think one would need to know their date of death, like they know their date of birth (what they were told) to know how much they will need exactly for how long. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 71684057 Preps are only to get by in the beginning. One should be learning how to make a fire, hunt with a bow & traps, preserve food, grow food, etc NOW. Books are great but you can't carry them all in a bug out scenario. Knowledge is power. Knowledge of how to live like they did in the early 1800's is best. Guns are great but ammo runs out. Learn to use a bow which is also silent! buy air guns ^^^^ This. [link to www.midwayusa.com (secure)] *** Good deeds bring rewards, bad actions bring troubles. That is a law of the universe. *** |

Also, for illumination during the dark, dark nights, I'm depending on my solar lights around my garden. CHEAP and efficient. All I have to do is put them out all day so they recharge, and they light things up inside at night! NO matches needed, no batteries to run out of, etc. AND - they don't look like anything.....they're just OUT THERE during the day. "Hiding in plain sight." |

There are places in the American west where the closest neighbor is miles away. Unfortunately I can see several houses from where I am. I will be moving, permanently, to my bug out location. If there were no trees, I think there would be a couple of houses within sight. With the trees, you can drive right by my driveway (about a quarter mile) and not see any signs of a building. There are two streams, fed by natural springs, on site. There are three orchards, and lots of room for the dairy goats and poultry. Lots of room for gardens, even without the corn fields. The only place where it can be seen is from my in-laws feed lot. I think I can get away. The only draw back is the internet access is by satellite. The down links are great, but up links can be a bit slow. Hope for the best, but prepare for the worst. "America is at that awkward stage. Quoting: whiteangel Want to throw this out there for your fight in making your body stronger to fight better against Ebola. Olive Leaf extract. Look it up and do some research. It even helps fight or cure malaria. It is a major immune booster and this is what you will need if Ebola claims a major foot hold in the 1st world countries. After my surgery on the 26th, the pain was manageable after 5 days but I felt sick and was sleeping all the time. On the 3rd I started Olive Leaf extract and yesterday I was almost back to normal. Woke up great this morning. I am totally amazed at how well this thing works. You can bet I will be stocking up on this!!! Here is a link to start your research on: [link to www.herbwisdom.com] *snip From research and clinical experience to date, we can say that supplemental olive leaf may be beneficial in the treatment for conditions caused by, or associated with, a virus, retrovirus, bacterium or protozoan. Among those treatable conditions are: influenza, the common cold, candida infections, meningitis, Epstein-Barr virus (EBV), encephalitis, herpes I and II, human herpes virus 6 and 7, shingles (Herpes zoster), HIV/ARC/AIDS, chronic fatigue, hepatitis B, pneumonia, tuberculosis, gonorrhea, malaria, dengue, severe diarrhea, and dental, ear, urinary tract and surgical infections. Many people who live stressful lives or who may be particularly susceptible to colds and viruses may benefit from long-term use of olive leaf as a preventive agent. Some patients have expressed other unexpected benefits of olive leaf, including improved psoriasis, normalisation of heart beat irregularities, diminished cravings, less pain from hemorrhoids, toothaches and chronically achy joints. ============== My note, do read about it causing detoxification or die-off symptoms. This has happened with me, which only proves I was pretty toxic after all the "modern" drugs that were pumped into my body. This is a good deal for Olive Leaf Extract, I've used this a lot and I do try to keep it on hand for sure: [link to www.swansonvitamins.com] |

I can feed all the animals without having to depend on the feed store. More importantly, the water bubbles up out of the ground and makes streams that run through the property.
