Golden Harvest (natural) is also in the same league of strong, clean smokes. I am basically trying to replicate Natural American Spirit tobacco, which doubled in cost after Obama took power and raised federal tax on rolling tobacco by 2300%. That, after saying he won't raise taxes on people making less than $250K. Smokers as a whole are presently the poorest, the most taxed and the most abused (physically, psychologically and socially) minority in the 'civilized' world. Except for missing yellow star armband, in everything else we're like Jews in 1930s Germany. |

We also can't bring them in from overseas through customs at the airport because of a new law stating that all tobacco be labeled with plain packaging and a graphic of something horrific that happened to a smoker. However, the opposite effect seems to be taking place as more people than ever are deciding to smoke. Doom is mood backwards |

Quoting: KipKat That's great tobacco. Sometimes I treat myself to a pouch. Day to day I prefer the cheaper brands. More is better to me. How much do you pay for a pouch of American Spirit? Here it's €4.70 ( $6.39) for 25 grams. Last Edited by KipKat on 07/11/2014 09:22 AM :kkwapper: |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 8000286 United States 07/12/2014 12:28 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I used to smoke Maverick 100s until I checked the ingredient list. There were about 50 different chemicals added. Switched to American Spirit with organic tobacco. Chemicals are added to most cigarettes to give them a certain taste.....and to make them burn faster. A regular size Spirit cig takes about 6 minutes to smoke......much longer than a normal cigarette. I only smoke about 12 of them per day........whereas I used to smoke about 20 Mavericks per day. Thus.....although they seem more expensive.....they are actually cheaper when you compute total cost per month. Monthly Cost: Maverick.......600 cigs.......180 dollars Amer. Spirit....360 cigs......135 dollars |

Used to buy Botschafter, but it isn't sold in the States anymore. Turkish tobacco. Excellent flavor. Cc User ID: 35745148 United States 11/02/2014 12:04 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I started smoking Marlboro Reds 20+ years ago, switched over to Lights and then Ultra Lights...have smoked these for going on a decade. Somewhere over the last few years, the ultra lights started tasting stale and chemical-like(ie nasty). I finally broke down and bought a tabacco flavored (which tastes almost nothing like tobacco) blu e-cig starter kit a month ago and at first, I loved it. I'm not a heavy smoker but when I drink, I smoke considerably more. The last couple of times, while enjoying some cocktails, the batteries kept going dead. Each one would go dead in well under half an hour. After they both go dead, you are screwed unless, you have $40 to blow on numerous packs each, that you can ONLY plug into a computer, mind you (what the hell is up with that !?!?) because the pack I bought takes half an hour to recharge. Last night, I threw the pack, the cigs and the flavor filters in the garbage, went to the store and bought my first pack of American Spirit mellow/smooth cigarettes. It was like travelling back in time to the first time I ever took a drag off of a cigarette. OMG, I am beyond relieved to have found these! I have a feeling they will be my "brand" forever! |
