Thank you for the info OP. I’ve been thinking a lot about this type of stuff lately and you made several points that were honestly completely brand new to me and I really appreciate that.

I have a question though, is it legally required to “register” a birth in the US (specifically California)? I heard it was to protect babies’ “human rights” (obviously that’s not the real motive but whatever that’s what the claim) is there any actual laws that dictate this as a necessity that you know of? Any advice for novice child bearing mothers/fathers or anything else that’s like super important to know….? (Asking for a friend……lol)
