The man initially reported with pneumonic plague on July 11 is hospitalized. Two of the new cases also had pneumonic plague, while the third had a milder form. There is NO VACCINE for Pneumonic Plague and, if treated too late, it is FATAL. Early intervention with antibiotics does cure it, but the key word is EARLY! [ link to www.bloomberg.com] |
