Mutant Carrots
A Japanese citizen posted on Twitter that the carrots in yard grew to be “very strange” this year.

You have to see these....

Re: Mutant Carrots
Damn that's strange. I'd like to see those tested at the genetic level and see what the differences are.

Re: Mutant Carrots
Sorry to burst your bubble, but carrots naturally look like that, especially when you sow them too close together. The ones you buy at the store only look so nice and straight because all the weird-looking ones are being sorted out before they sell them.

(And yes, there are actually not just health but also aesthetic standards for produce sold in grocery stores. Stupid, but true.)

Then maybe you have a greener thumb than I -- mine look like that ALL the time. My son and I are always having a blast harvesting them. Some look like little people with a head and two legs, some look like they have genitals, some are all knobby.

Re: Mutant Carrots
Our mass produced, perfectly shaped produce, coated in shiny food grade wax, grown for America is ruining us all. If anyone has ever grown a home garden. They will know veggies don't look all perfect and brightly colored like store bought veggies. Weird formations are normal when a produce is allowed to grow non GMO, natural, in rich soil and no pesticides added, then picked when truly ripe. Plus carrots are a root you know.

*edit:
Eff the 1 star wonder. I gave you 5 stars. You are just posting something weird from Japan and they are "mutant". Not necessarily anything that are cancerous and full of radiation.

Personally, I give 5 stars or none. One stars should be for FULL RETARD THREADS. Like "My grandma ate my tomato plant when I was bringing it in, does that mean she is an NSA agent and my cat ate my vampire dog as the google earth van was surveying my block".
