If they are using the same suppliers as Walmart, well, they can keep their stuff. Damnit! My friend and I got really sick eating Trader's spinach dip with chips in their store - pretty ill, actually. Greater is He who is in me than he who is in the world. Whatever feels good to your soul, do that. |

It's dirty, cramped, dark and just weird. Not surprised you got sick there. |

I really wasn't that impressed, but they claim most of their stuff is organic... organic according to whom though? Greater is He who is in me than he who is in the world. Personally I think it is bs, they probably just source from big agri corps just like walmart. The labels are just changed to make it look like you are buying organic from small producers. |

No illnesses have been reported, but the Wawona Packing Company has told retailers such as Wal-Mart, Costco and Trader Joe's to pull its products. Quoting: Ms. Superduper [link to www.npr.org] (So, Trader Joe's sells the same grade of fruit that Walmart sells? Not what I wanted to read.) Anyway, FYI, for your safety. thanks 4 the info and YOU took the words outta my mouth that wallee world SELLS the same fruit !! as costco and trader Joe ! LOL !!!!!!!!!!!! |

That may be a misperception that you hold, though. |

HA! do you just look for conspiracy stories and not do a little research of where your food is comin from. conspiracy people are always cryin foul over most everything yet can't see what's goin on right in front of their faces. Trader Joe's and their employees are more knowledgeable about what they have and where it's from than most any costco and especially over ANY walmart slacker. as for organic products...there is no way to tell if you're buyin organic or fake organic unless you have every piece tested no matter if you're buyin one piece or a whole warehouse full. a local area farmer was busted a while back by an old lady that had been buyin organic fruit from a small roadside stand his farm ran for sellin fake organic produce. anyone buyin organic is a sucker and a waste of money unless you personally know the organic farmer growin it. i've said before on here about my friend's ex girlfriend that was told by her manager at Marlene's "Natural" Foods to go to a local Top Food grocery to buy bananas and then of all things...told her to put organic stickers on them. you guys do know that any tom, dick or harry can buy rolls of those organic stickers. please don't tell me that was some world shakin revelation for you too. this IS a place that boasts about bein natural and organic and should be ashamed at the prices they charge for everything on their shelves. the same regular single banana you buy here is many times 3 and 4 times the cost of Trader Joe's. DO NOT BUY ORGANIC UNLESS YOU'RE DOING TESTING TO SEE IF IT IS. YOU'RE WASTING YOUR MONEY. :inIreland: |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 29928406 United States 07/28/2014 01:56 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The US Government doesn't recall fruit if there are no illnesses reported... they never have.. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 60528541 read the article. No illnesses have been reported, wrong in 2013, maybe 2012, regulations were passed that allowed the USDA to pull SUSPECTED items...though test results not in.... you could use this reg. to either bankrupt certain types of producers or you could use this reg. to confiscate food...tones of food for your underground bunkers... google USDA recalls and go to the website and read the list...go to the archive... I have been following this since 2009 when this reg passed the number of 'recalls' SKYROCKETED it quadrupuled(sic) or more.... we are told that ALL chicken has salmonelia on it, yet it is not confiscated...instructions are given on how to handle it on every package... why not this with listeria and fruit? |
