Give me an INCH bag. Take your MILE
Give me an INCH (I'm Never Coming Home) bag to carry my MILE (Most Important Life Essentials)

Was bored. Just created the MILE part. (I think)

What's in yours?

I need weight up front in my canoe so I carry a survival pack. Lots of new products at Walmart. Sawyer mini filter and UCO storm proof matches are two of the latest accquistions.

Knowledge of how to build a fire from nothing would eliminate two items.
Purify water by boiling.
And fire would be started from scratch.

Knowledge is the most powerful weapon.
Practice makes perfect. Go start your grill today using sticks and such.

Who wins on Black Friday?
Cyber Monday?
Small Business Tuesday?

Not Walmart.

China!

Everything is made in China.
Stop using Walmart.

When SHTF, there will be no mom and pop shops.

Everyone will be at a Walmart. What happens when their trucks STOP rolling?

They have too big a piece of the market in their control.

In other words, China itself has too much control.
Our factories are being torn down and experience is dying out.

In another 10 years, all China has to do is stop shipping to the US.

That will happen during war anyway

Knowing how to use what you learned is more important. Sometimes in less than perfect conditions, access to dry wood, rocks, and other things that create sparks or heat based on friction are not accessible. And not everyone carries something tthat can refract sunlight into a point to create fire that way. Being ingenious is no excuse to underprepare. Be practical and use things for their purpose until you HAVE no choice. It may seem clever on survivorman but that stuff is designed to help you in the worst situation. Like when you don't prepare.
