I think read somewhere recently that Putin has an 80% approval rating in Russia (and probably close to that in the US, lol)... it would be nearly impossible to overthrow someone with that kind of backing. Putin is a classic leader.

This guy is full of shit. Russians will rather starve and die than serve any other country and give up. Russia and China will destroy America before they will go down. Russian economy is stronger than US economy at this time. US should be the one worrying. Russia will just punch back one day and that's it for America.

Where does all this lead? Obviously 'They' want the world to grouped into roughly a half dozen mega trading blocs like the EU and NAFTA. I understand where China is in all this, but the one other semi-super power (they do have thousands of nukes and oil) Russia, where do they expect it to fall in place? Part of the EU? Russia is kind of the odd man out.

Serious backing...normal citizens who rise up in armed resistance to fascist regimes who are against the Russian people in other nations.

Russian economy isn't remotely a match for the U.S., or E.U. and China for that matter. Russia has really only two things that make it relevent are it's oil that the Euros need, and it's thousands of nukes. Otherwise, Russia is a third world country. Mexico is wealthier than Russia.

The U.S. also obviously has thousands if nukes and multiple delivery systems. It could easily respond to a nuke attack from Russia or China. The world would be essentially destroyed.

This will never happen. They will all be immediately caught and hanged, because 83% of Russians approve and support everything Putin does, and this is according to Gallup survey, and the Russian Center for Public Opinion. We're talking about the vast majority is ready to tear up into pieces anyone who'll try to overthrow Putin. Putin is a national leader - unlike any of the leaders in the West. Everyone loves Putin in Russia. If he somehow will be overthrown or assassinated, you better start hoarding supplies and hide in a deep basement for about a year. There will be a nuclear war.

Mexico is not wealthier than Russia.

Also, Russia has another thing going for it. Russia's national debt is extremely low. Mexico's debt is a lot higher, and the USA's debt is downright insane.

Who is wealthier? The guy who drives a luxury car that he has to make large car loan payments on to the bank every month? Or the guy who drives an economy car that he owns free and clear?
