One innovative company has created a vending machine that works with the environment and helps feed the 150,000 homeless cats and dogs.

Turkey is known for its large numbers of stray animals roaming its urban areas. According to Deutsche Welle in Istanbul alone there are more than 150,000 stray dogs and cats. Some of the residents welcome their company and help feed them but others have complained that the animals are dangerous and spread disease. Because of these complaints, the Turkish government went on to draft a law which would move thousands of stray dogs to be to a “wildlife park,” getting the animals out of the urban environment which they are used to. Dogs have also allegedly been the targets of poisoning campaigns, according to the Associated Press.
