Quoting: sreglof23 Well I've noticed when I go to the grocery store I almost get sick looking at some of the shit on the shelves. No wonder kids are fat and people have so many problems. Good water, fresh clean food, and exercise is the way to go Welcome to the reality of it all. Try going to Argentina, that's where I'm at right now. I went straight Keto, I eat zero or very little carbohydrates outside of fiber and some green vegetables. I eat zero root vegetable, bread, grains, gluten, cereals, or sugars. The longer I go without carbs the less the cravings get. When I started I had intense cravings for carbohydrates. I'm a recovering addict / alcoholic (10 years clean) and I can tell you the withdrawal from carbohydrates was more intense than the drugs and alcohol, both mentally and physically. I do give myself a "free day" every now and then and on those days (about once every two months) I take amylase inhibitors so I don't process the sugar / carbs. I strictly eat fatty meats, butter, oils, and fresh raw vegetables (uncooked and washed) as organic as I can find. My body has adapted to becoming full of energy all day, no lulls in the afternoon, on about 1250 calories a day. The only thing I changed was how I eat. I eat about 70% FAT 25% protein 5% carbohydrates (from raw vegetables). I do not exercise at all and I've lost 21 pounds so far in 6 months. When I get hungry I do not get shaky or light headed anymore either. This really began as an experiment and has turned more into a lifestyle. Going to grocery stores at least offer the opportunity of choice. Eating at restaurants can be very challenging because you have zero idea where the food comes from. Kudos to you OP. The more people jumping on this bandwagon of eating properly and responsibly will, hopefully, push the GMOs out in favor of more quality foods. And when I say responsibly I don't mean going out and making some social statement, I mean responsibly for yourself, the individual. It's become impossible to convince others to eat well when they've been lied to in order to facilitate the sale of all that crap on the shelves. RAGE |

Good water, fresh clean food, and exercise is the way to go I have that soooo often. I was trying to get some fruit juice yesterday so looked at the cartons of fruit juice. There's hardly any juice in them, just water and loads of added sugars and even high fructose syrup. It's yuck. One kind of stuff which is called 50/50 used to called that because it had 50% fruit and 50% water and nothing more. Good choice huh? Well, it changed it's now 50/50 because it has 50% less sugar added than other fruit crap and the amount of fruit has been lowered to 15-20% or something. Try to find something to drink, anything, without added sugars. Sure, there's light stuff with no sugar added blahblah but guess what: FULL of artificial sweeteners... It's your choice nowadays: diabetes (sugar) or cancer (art. sweeteners). I choose filtered water, fuckers. "A strange game. Anonymous Coward User ID: 4371112 United States 07/30/2014 11:15 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I had changed my diet back in 2009 when we realized that my significant other was having bad allergic reactions to just about every food that we had always been eating before, without him feeling like he was about to die. We became very disturbed when he began to feel like he had no energy which then caused him to need to sleep a lot more than usual. When we finally decided to see if we could do anything to stop the downward spiral we found it to be very challenging to our souls. I took it upon myself to do extensive research as to why his health was deteriorating rapidly, especially when he seemed to be able to handle it before, without it getting to the level that it did in 2009. During my extensive research I discovered that food was no longer real food and that we were deliberately being poisoned by a company named Monsanto, which other Countries would not allow to tamper with its food. What disturbs me the most about the whole situation is that our own Gov't is backing Monsanto 100%. The Gov't went as far as protecting Monsanto from any lawsuits that they knew would happen because many peoples bodies would reject Monsanto GMO frankenfoods. Say no to Dairy products, which includes: Milk, Butter, Cheese, and Yogurt. Instead of using Dairy the better solution is to use Almond Milk products. Diary products are full of growth hormones and antibiotics. Unless you purchase your milk from a small farm which doesn't' feed their cattle GMO grains and shoot them up with those other things, you are setting yourself up with devastating health issues down the road. |

It's all the carbs we consume that make us fat. And yeah, it is hard to eat when you cut out the sugar/carbs because they're in everything convenient to eat |

If you can eliminate those you are well on your way to being much healthier and slimmer. The hard part is finding packaged foods that don't have those two items in them. After that, you should try getting rid of dairy too or just have very little. Quoting: Thermocline Cooked (or fermented from storage) whole grains- barley, rice, rye, oats, not always wheat...are the center of the human plant based diet since we lived in long-term settlements. Fresh killed game provided the vit K2 and rich protein on occasion, but Only the top dogs had fresh killed game every day and refined foods, and They had heart disease etc Just like modern people. While we were wandering tribes, meat could become scarce too and vegetation was still the main food. Or, like the edge of the ice travelers, a 100% fish based diet works too. So the Beer and fish diet is best. |
