They're saying 60% as far as the deaths vs. infected goes, but only because many of those infected havent had time to die yet, understand? Less than 10% who contract it survive. The infection numbers are rising quicker than they can die, that's why this situation is so dangerous.. I actually just had Dengue Fever down here earlier this month and it was fucking brutal. So the general idea of something like Ebola is worrisome. It kills everyone, no vaccine, no cure, long incubation time, lives on surfaces both hard and liquid, travels on aerosols, stays alive for over 25 days on a hard surface, etc.. This virus is fucking wicked. You have to understand that once a certain number are infected, there is absolutely no turning back, no beatig it until it runs its course. You want to pretend like it's no big deal? Fine. I'm not guaranteeing it will be a big deal, but I'm a survivor so I'd rather be aware and safe rather than sorry. You better pay attention because if it does end up being serious and global, you'll be wishing you'd protetected yourself at the moment you begin shitting out chunks of intestines and choking on bloody chunks of your own lungs.
