The narrator is making up his own meaning of words by arbitrarily breaking them down however he sees fit. He says the ' au' from ' audio' signifies gold simply because au is the abbreviation for gold on the periodic table??? That's not the etymology of the word. audio [ link to www.etymonline.com] -comes from the Latin term audire, meaning ' to hear' Why is he doing such things? Does that mean the ' he' from ' hello' signifies helium??? Of course not... Quoting: ANHEDONIC I agree. Why should I watch this? At the very start he relates Phoenicians to sound (phonics), but looking at the term 'Phoenicia' in Greek it means 'land of purple', a reference to the valuable murex-shell dye they exported. Phone is another Greek term for 'sound'. They sound similar, but I'm guessing there's nuances involved which give them different meanings. I could go on writing for hours - the word 'language' he breaks it up and takes the 'lan' part to mean some Oriental beast or something. You could do that with any word in any language - find homonyms and synonyms and some exacts same words.
