1/ Militants in Gaza have launched small rockets at Israeli border towns.

Israel has responded with shelling and missiles that have killed dozens of Palestinians.

2006-June 25,
2/ militants from several Palestinian groups, including Hamas, used a tunnel to cross from the Gaza Strip into Israel, killed two soldiers and captured one.

Israel has retaliated by moving troops into the strip, seizing Hamas leaders and shelling targets, including power stations. More than 80 people have been killed in the conflict.

2006- July 12,
3/ Hezbollah opened a new front in the fighting, crossing into Israel from Lebanon, seizing two Israeli soldiers and killing eight.

Israel has responded by staging hundreds of air raids, blockading Lebanon's coast and bombing the Beirut airport.

5/ Two Israeli were killed by rocket fire Thursday in the northern towns of Nahariya and Safed.
/The woman killed by rocket fire in Nahariya was identified as Monica Zeidman (Lehrer), 40. She died in her home. The attack also wounded 29 people, including a number of children.

2006-July 14,
6/ Dozens of civilians were injured, two of them moderately, in the latest spate of Hezbollah rocket attacks on Israel.
7/ one man sustained light injuries when a Katyusha rocket landed in the Galilee village of Yesod Hama'alah
8/ Hezbollah said Friday that Israel should expect an attack on Haifa at any time.
