No...it HAS to be real maple sugar. There is something
about the baking soda BINDS with the sugar molecule of
the maple sugar and "fools" the disease fungus or virus
or whatever into letting it pass into the cell. It is
a very complicated deal and you can't just sprinkle
baking soda on some other food and have it work.

I started using bicarbonate soda with lemon juice daily for this reason.

I work for myself, and at times you get stressed. The acid build up causes ulcers in the stomach lining and trust me the pain is awful. I started to take half a tea spoon of bicarbonate soda mixed with 250mls of water after research, I then add two tea spoons of pure lemon juice out of a bottle. With in a day my stomach pain started to ease. I have been taking this mix before I go to bed as you need to take it a couple of hours after your dinner. If you have breakfast late you can take it when you get up out of bed, just make sure you take the drink in between meals or the food in your stomach will digest the mixture and it won't work.

I feel ulcer stress free with no pain, I have more energy and the mixture as made me gout free another painful disease that is caused by crystal build up in the blood. The mixture is drug free, therefore no side effects. I now stock lemon juice and bicarbonate soda, and I have placed it in my daily diet.

Now remember that baking soda has a Ph of 9 and 7 is neutral.

Gastric acid has a Ph of almost 2.

The Ph scale works logarithmically, each number up or down the scale from 10 being 10 times more acidic than the previous number.

so the acids in your stomach are about 1000 times more powerful and acid than baking soda is a base. As soon as baking soda hits the stomach lining it's going to react and lose it's alkalinity and the stomach will have plenty of acidity to spare.

So... how exactly are you getting this baking soda into your body? It's not alkaline seconds after swallowing.

Many diseases like swine flu cause an over production of inflammatory cytokines which then cause different problems
