Hundreds Of Resident in small town have run out of water in the Central Valley of California
PORTERVILLE (CBS/AP) — Government officials and community groups say hundreds of rural San Joaquin Valley residents no longer can get drinking water from their home faucets because California’s extreme drought has dried up their individual wells.

Yup, it's about 25 miles from me. The homes up in Lemon Cove have dried up wells too. They shipped in water for as long as they could, but now a bunch of them are selling their houses but not telling prospective owners that there's no water to be had. Everything in my garden has dried up and died. It doesn't matter if you water the stuff, the air is so dry it just wilts the plants. They can't take it. We have trouble breathing for all the dust. Everyone feels like shit. It's the same conversation every day as we stare balefully at a cloudless sky. It use to be, when will it rain again. Now it's, WILL IT EVER RAIN AGAIN.

Slow moving apocalypse for us. We may have to move, but our whole family is here. And since the economy died here as well, we don't really have the money to leave. It takes everything we have just to buy enough food to barely eat and filter the disgusting looking water that is coming out of our tap. I mean, you can see shit floating in it.

I used to make a hundred thousand dollars a year on my own, and now I'm wondering if my whole family is going to die of starvation in a fucking drought in the near future. If that's not a slow moving apocalypse, I don't know what is.

I am sure we are all going to be affected by this drought. We will pray for rain. I have believed they are using Haarp or chemtrails to change our rain patterns here in Texas.

That sucks bro!Cali needs to invest in desalinization technology and they need to do it soon and fast. The water will continue to decline. Nature never intended for So-Cal to have very much water to begin with. Through man's manipulation, we managed to make water available there for just long enough, for civilization to firmly plantsoap it's roots there.

Many homes in Southern Humboldt have gone dry and the property is worthless.
I'm lucky to live in an area without too many people, our wells are strong and crops are fine.
Too many people crash the water table and it's done.

Dust bowl 2.0. People died from inhaling dirt. Cattle starved. Property rendered worthless. People migrating with everything they still owned tied down to truck beds.

read about it...

I understand the need for survival, but does it make sense for millions of people to swarm other states and consume thier water?

Exactly, thats why we all need to stay put. Unless you can afford to be a citizen in another state without government assistance, you shouldn't be allowed in.

It is one of the military disaster scenarios. They think they could run out of water.
