My indoor cat is very well taken care of and usually quite complacent. All during the night and all morning she has made very strange noises and has been restless and won't settle down. She kept me and my daughters up all night. I live in eastern NC.

And before you call me an idiot and not taking care of my cat she is probably in pain,... My best friend is a vet and checked her out this morning and can find nothing wrong. He even said cats have the ability to sense things we are not able to.

I am in the Texas panhandle and my 15 year old (healthy) neutered female was doing the same yesterday evening. Walking around with the deep meows, not the kind she does at the refrigerator when she wants some "wet" food. It went on for a while and then she settled down to normal routine.

Mine too. I live about 75 miles from the Napa e.q. He won't stop meowing. I think I'll take him outside.
