I was going north over the I-205 bridge at about 820 or so last night, on my way home from the Oregon Duck game (Go Ducks!). I saw it it the same north/nw direction in the sky as it ascended nearly straight down. Bright green with a tale and then fizzled out. I thought it was a meteor, but wasn't certain... It was defiantly a WOW moment. The only other explanation I could think of was that some dumb-ass was lighting leftover fireworks in Vancouver ( it is extremely dry and high fire danger right now). I am glad to now confirm what it was I saw!

I have seen meteor showers before that are white shooting stars, but not green or as bright as what I saw last night. There are over 100 reports on the meteor sighting website that links from the news article. I made my report there also.

It just struck me funny how some of the reports seem to describe something other than a meteor, because a meteor generally doesn't change direction unless of course it hits something.
