The concept of the clock is to measure the DISTANCE of the "construct" of time. Your repeating pattern has an ever increasing interval. Plot it out on a graph and show me how well it can track anything (hint it will be a parabolic curve) It's just a pattern. There is nothing alarming about this. Same with primes. Only the ability to recognize them is what is important. The patterns themselves are not mystical. You said this only works with base 10. I'm on my phone right now but It's not unreasonable to think that this same idea can happen with any number base. |

So the next number in the above example would be: 55. Since Fibonacci’s discovery, this sequence of numbers have been found in many aspects of nature. It is a famous pattern in nature. But there is something else that happens in this famous pattern of numbers. This pattern found in nature. If we look deep into the sequence (which computers have done) we find that this sequence of numbers forms a 60 digit repeat cycle. After every 60 numbers in the Fibonacci Sequence, the last digit in each number starts to repeat, it starts to recycle. I have listed the first 72 numbers in the sequence and highlighted the last number in red. Notice that after the first 60 numbers (0-59) the last number starts to repeat. This 60 number pattern repeats all the way into infinity. You can research this online. This is interesting, but not really magical if you think about it. The right digit of any fib number is determined by the right digits of the two preceding numbers in the sequence. As soon as the same two-right-digit pair appears, the sequence repeats. So, there are 100 possibilities for two consecutive right digits (0..9),(0..9). As the sequence progresses, you will use up those pairs, i.e., you can check them off from the list of 100 possibilities as they appear. Sometime before 100 numbers have been generated, you will have the first repeat use of a pair, and at that point, the sequence will repeat indefinitely. Why this happens at 60 I don't know; don't suppose there is anything special about 60...after all, it's a function of using base 10. |
