Consistant High Heat in Most of Cali

Been in the 40's here in the Midwest the last few nights, record lows and highs all summer, with a light frost back in July.

That's strange, I'm from that area and I thought it was a summer with really modest temps.

What's strange is that usually after labor day, the temps from the heat of August go back down.

Instead, this year, we had mild temps through the summer and now after labor day, it's blazing. It's hotter than it normally gets in August.

Dude; Here in SW Montana, my tomato plants got frost and I had to pull all my tomatoes. 400 f#$king tomatoes, have to ripen in paper bags instead of sun ripen. I should have had 3 more weeks before an EARLY frost. It's weird all over.

People are dropping dead from stroke at an alarming rate and not a peep out of anyone asking why.

Every week the obituary section of the paper has a couple people dead in their 40's from strokes.

Side effect of the chemtrails is my guess.

We are back to normal weather, back when I was in grade school September was usually hottest averaging 100 -102.

This has been my observation as well. Our summers are fairly mild and then August and September have been unbearable the passed few years.

Central Valley here (grew up in LA), and its seems the weather has shifted forward. Its 104 here now, and this time of year, the grape farmers are usually pulling up the raisins for fear of rain. Summer was in the high 90's to low 100's, but these last two weeks have been really hot for this time of year. Its like we are in the dead of summer (usually late July, early August) this late in the season. Its the endless summer, with no surf.

i live in cali too and I was JUST thinking this heat is very VERY odd... almost like the planet is off tilt or something. I keep getting these weird feelings that the earth is about to do something crazy.... like everyone on the planet is going to be affected by it.

In L.A. It was always warm right up until Halloween.

Then you might see temps in the 60s.

The coldest it ever got while I was out there was 45. It stayed that way for about a week in January.

The hottest it ever got was 117. That was in September. Just one day.

First year I was there, it was 72 degrees and sunny all year long.

Second year we broke precipitation records. It rained for like six months straight.

It seemed to get hotter every year after that for the next five years.

The fact there have been four hurricanes in the Pacific, but none in the Atlantic, makes me think weather patterns have shifted west. We are getting Arizona and Nevada's weather it seems.

Western WA ST has had a very sustained, hot summer. Though we have had a few days of rain mixed in, and no drought to speak of, this has been a very hot, humid summer for these parts. I grew up in the OC, and I remember still wearing shorts when going back to school, but not much past the last part of Sept. and usu. never such sustained heat when I was there until 08?

We have had SOCAL type weather up here since last Wednesday--very dry, almost like Santa Ana wind type conditions--very odd, and getting fire alert warnings on my cell. I know the heat is just making things worse for CA when you take the drought into consideration, my condolences OP.

I am in central California (valley) and I agree. Humidity in a semi-arid region after several months of no precipitation is highly unusual (where is this moisture coming from). Very oppressive heat, sun bakes the skin, you can feel yourself dehydrating. Very dangerous to be outside of one has heart problems.

I'm in the vacaville area, between San Francisco and sacramento and I agree this year is persistently hot

95-102 is normal here since late June

San Francisco isn't usually covered in fog this year and has been warmer than usual

Northern Cali here. Bay Area. Very hot all the time. Wish it would let up.

There's normally a Predator during the hottest years.

I'm Inland Empire and it's been miserable. I've been concerned about our drought. Sick of driving our freeways n reading the drought warnings everywhere makes me think we're going to turn into the California Raisins.

Well, yes. I can see why you would say that but..we've lived in Central California for coming up on three decades now. The first several years we were here was much like this. Summer was dry, not humid, but it typically ran about 8 months.

The humidity is new, at least to us--but not the long stretch of heat.

I've lived in socal for over 35 years and I have never experienced so many days of "humid" heat. I cant believe people actually tolerate living in Florida! The weather teleprompt reader men here wont even acknowledge the weird weather conditions anymore, lol. They just have this weird grin on their faces while they read the teleprompter. Must not scare the walmart shoppers, lol.

This humidity in San Jose has been annoying. Almost every day.
