New to this site . Just registered a min. ago just to reply to this thread. All day I've been thinking I'm the only on in southern California that saw last night's launches from Vandenberg afb about 8:30 p.m.. Did any so cal people see?? I saw no less than 10 missle launches go up.. the first sight of them were in groups of 4. I'm no expert with this sort of thing but I know how to use the internet and I am pretty sure they were ICBMs. Weird thing there is no word about it any where on the internet. I can't be the only one to have seen this! And before anybody replies back with that test launch @ 7:45 am yesterday , been there done that 100 times today ..lol

The Southern Taurid meteor shower is active from September 7 to November 19.

Fireballs are not like a meteor shower, shooting stars are fast, you can easily miss one. Fireballs are large and slow, a little hard to miss.
 Quoting: M*walk

At the link it goes on to say there is an increase in fireball reports due to this event each year.
 Quoting: Bigfoot Hunter

Yup, sheep like you will buy anything. We discussed this here last year, about how the mouthpieces were trying to correlate fireballs with annual meteor showers, which is bs, and scripted. I, myself, along with friends, or just groups of meteor shower watchers NEVER saw slow moving, brightly burning objects in all the years of watching. But maybe we don't see fireballs in California, oh wait, yes we DO. Go make/drink another batch of kool-aid dude.

I think they call that lightning, and it's a pretty common phenomenon.

how much time does the average person spend looking at the sky? for me, less than 1%. There could be all kinds of shenanigans going on in the sky and I'd never notice.

I live in TN and saw nothing... no comments from friends, etc.

Interesting that they were 'isolated' events. Really? four 'unique' fireballs?
 Quoting: Azaziah

Yeah but how many of your friends were staring up at the sky at night in the right direction at exactly the right two seconds? Think about that for a second.

You know. We were taught that meteors were just small grains of rock. Rarely was it mentioned that the sizes are big bolder size. And so plentiful. My have things changed. Climate change changes everything.

Re: Four large fireballs reported across United States (in the last 24 hours)
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Witnesses across the Eastern portion of the United States have reported several strange sights in the skies over the last 24 hours.

The American Meteor Society is reporting that four large fireballs were spotted across the United States on Sept. 23.

The first fireball was reported in Florida and Georgia.

Organizers say over 77 witnesses from Michigan, Illinois, Ohio, Indiana, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, New York and Kentucky reported a second fireball later in the day.

The third fireball was seen by 29 witnesses in Tennessee, Arkansas, Alabama, Mississippi, Missouri and Kentucky.

The final fireball was reported by 42 people in Connecticut, Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts and Maryland.

I believe in the next month and a half you'll be seeing quite afew reports of fireballs. We have a half dozen or so large asteroids making their close approach to earth and I don't believe they are traveling alone. Especially when you see the reports of all the smaller asteroids they first discovered in the last couple days. MORE TO COME. BE PREPARED.

Can confirm that we saw one here in Chicago, landed in Lake Michigan. There is a conversation about this on another (non conspiracy) website.

Re: Four large fireballs reported across United States (in the last 24 hours)
In the early 1960s, 400 million copper wires were launched into space, forming a ring around Earth.

So much of what happened during the Cold War is still relatively unknown to the general public.

On May 24th of 1963, the Harvard Crimson reported that 400 million copper wires had been launched 2300 miles above the planet and were circling earth.

No, it wasn’t an accident, it was part of Project West Ford, a plan devised and executed by the US as a means of ensuring that long-range communications couldn’t be compromised by the Soviets.

The US feared that as part of an attack, the Soviets would somehow disable the telephone and telegraph cables on the ocean floor.

That would leave only radio, which is notoriously undependable due to outages caused by solar flares and the like.

An MIT scientist said he had the perfect plan – give radio waves a boost of stability by surrounding the planet with a bunch of copper wires.

It was guessed that they’d just fall back to Earth eventually, so there wouldn’t be a problem.

And, that’s exactly what happened, except not all made it back to Earth.

On their way to space, many of the wires fused, forming large clumps that remain in orbit today.

Re: Four large fireballs reported across United States (in the last 24 hours)
Due to approximate locations of all fireballs could it be possible that their was a slightly larger meteorite of some kind that broke up upon entering atmosphere and/or traveling speeds that would of resulted in these 4 different unique fireballs?

Did anyone report any loud sounds like thunder or bangs? This gives many chances pending upon size and estimated location for someones to get a closer look. Pictures anyone?

<<Let us pray.....

Please dear God in Heaven strike the Earth with a nice big fireball (but not so big as to wipe us all out) so eyes and ears may be open to things far more important than our silly conflicts and petty dislikes. For all those petty conflicts and dislikes are really annoying and just a big bother. So i ask you from the bottom of my heart to every cell in my being and the very depths of my soul please to strike the Earth and strike it hard but not super hard.....not yet.

This is my prayer Dear God.>>

Could be that they are testing some kind of new weapon and if that's the case the public will never know. I hear they are not returning the media calls about the recent launches.

That is weird and apparently true

Project West Ford (also known as Westford Needles and Project Needles) was a test carried out by Massachusetts Institute of Technology's Lincoln Laboratory on behalf of the United States Military in 1961 and 1963 to create an artificial ionosphere above the Earth.[1] This was done to solve a major weakness that had been identified in US military communications.[2]
