There Are Multiple Strains Of Coronavirus; Here's What We Know


As COVID-19 blankets the globe - now having officially infected over 800,000 people in 179 countries, causing over 39,000 deaths - scientists are tracking a multitude of strains, according to USA Today.
The virus has undergone over a hundred tiny mutations which act like genetic fingerprints - allowing researchers to see how the virus is migrating and splitting into similar but new subtypes, which can be seen at the website NextStrain.org.

Labs around the world are turning their sequencing machines, most about the size of a desktop printer, to the task of rapidly sequencing the genomes of virus samples taken from people sick with COVID-19. The information is uploaded to a website called NextStrain.org that shows how the virus is migrating and splitting into similar but new subtypes. -USA Today


Frequent sequencing of the virus has allowed researchers to draw several conclusions; for example, social distancing and shelter-in-place orders appear to be working in some areas, and that the virus doesn't appear to be growing more lethal as it evolves.
"The virus mutates so slowly that the virus strains are fundamentally very similar to each other," said infectious disease specialist Charlies Chiu of the University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine. "The outbreaks are trackable. We have the ability to do genomic sequencing almost in real-time to see what strains or lineages are circulating," he added.
Chiu also believes that it's unlikely that the difference in strains is responsible for the virus hitting people differently - with most some feeling only slightly under the weather for a day or two, 15% needing hospitalization, and a mortality rate that varies by country (and likely by testing rates).

A 2017 NORTHCOM report correctly anticipated many aspects of the 2020 novel coronavirus pandemic.
The report predicted the pandemic could seriously affect American society for up to two years and incapacitate up to 40 percent of the workforce.
The report also warned that terrorists and other groups could take advantage of the confusion to stage attacks.
A 2017 report created by U.S. Northern Command warned that a future pandemic could have grave consequences for the military and the entire nation. The report warned that a “novel respiratory disease” could spread worldwide, seriously affecting American society and the economy for up to two years. The report also predicts global instability resulting in dramatic social disruptions, terrorism, and state aggression.



The document, known as Branch Plan 3650, was first revealed by The Nation and uploaded online. It was meant to provide planning guidance to NORTHCOM personnel responding to an “operationally significant infectious disease outbreak.” It outlines different types of outbreaks, from terrorism to the kind of “biological spillover” from Chinese wet markets that authorities believe created COVID-19. Outlining the threat, Branch Plan 3650 inadvertently predicts with uncanny precision the problem Chinese authorities faced in the early days of the epidemic in Wuhan:



Unlike chemical and radiological hazards, biological incidents may take months to develop, and with certain causative bacteria and viruses may continue to spread from person-to-person. Also, there are limited detection/warning capabilities for biologicals which means that an outbreak/attack can go unrecognized and continue to spread before a clinical diagnosis is made. This will be exacerbated if there are limited or no assays by which to identify the organism and if the symptoms mimic naturally occurring endemic outbreaks (e.g., seasonal flu.)


As of April 7th, 2020, the Johns Hopkins Coronavirus Resource Center counts 1.4 million cases of COVID-19 worldwide since the start of the outbreak, with cases in the U.S. now at 400,000. The site reports 82,145 deaths globally, with 12,722 deaths recorded in the U.S. alone.

Yes, The TAO is extremely pre-occupied. Managed a very brief conversation with him. He acknowledged that it was indeed a bio tech attack via Wuhan but not in the way speculated. He seemed to imply local misguided activists collaborated with foreign forces to launch a sneak attack in tandem with sting operations overseas. However something went awry and only part of the pathogen was prematurely released. He mentioned that only the “ bio “ part was fully released. The “ tech “ part was not fully completed by the incoming tech team of the perpetrators.

The OP reiterated and reminded us of what he indicated earlier about Artificial Intelligence many years back! The “tech “ part was supposed to be bioengineered AI components which were fortunately not totally embedded yet in the pathogens before they were prematurely released. Premature because the release was accidental in a chaotic situation due to a foreign black ops gone bad.

The local Hubei and Wuhan authorities were caught completely off guard and bungled in their response. Then the turf war between the primary health care officials and the main provincial medical authorities, the differences in approaches to emergency medical response and local politics led to a lot of false steps.

The OP admitted that he indeed was trying to reconcile the “ bare foot “ doctors’ instinctive approach with the emergency medics’ response. As the pathogen had some “ AI “ components, the traditional “ bare foot “ doctors’ approach was deemed inadequate. He also reiterated something about frequency and vibes which he said he would elaborate later at some other time.

The Chinese laboratory at the center of scrutiny over a potential coronavirus leak has been using U.S. government money to carry out research on bats from the caves which scientists believe are the original source of the deadly outbreak.

The Wuhan Institute of Virology undertook coronavirus experiments on mammals captured more than 1,000 miles away in Yunnan which were funded by a $3.7 million grant from the US government.

Sequencing of the COVID-19 genome has traced it back to bats found in Yunnan caves but it was first thought to have transferred to humans at an animal market in Wuhan.
