Subject EBOLA: Liberian President says that CDC and US Centers for disease control was wrong

Out of an estimated population of 4 092 310 people in Liberia -(wikipedia) roughly ONLY 7 178 people were infected with Ebola and 3 300 died of the disease.

A third world country with very limited medical facilities and supplies, overpopulation and slums had managed to keep the infection down to only 7 178 out of more than 4 million people. How did they do it? Is the reason because Ebola (which is a deadly virus) is not so highly transmittable as the common flu virus. Is it because the Ebola virus is much more easier to control especially in crowded places than the common flu virus. Have you seen the slums in Monrovia and the number of people staying there? - to keep the virus down to such low infection rate in such conditions is either a miracle or it is true what they say: the virus is easy to contain.

If you still don't believe me, on today's news the Liberian President dismisses the grim EBOLA forecasts and said that the virus was showing signs of stabilizing in her country.

In an exclusive interview with FRANCE 24, Liberia’s President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf on Wednesday blasted the US health agency and the World Health Organization (WHO) for their latest estimates on the expected number of new Ebola cases.

The Liberian leader said that an estimate released by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) last week was flat-out wrong.

In the interview, Sirleaf said that the outbreak is actually showing signs of stabilising.

Dakar - Liberia's President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf says the Ebola crisis is stabilising in her country and new data will soon prove that warnings from the US and UN experts of tens of thousands of cases were "simply wrong".

"We are beginning to see a stabilisation even in Monrovia which has been hit the hardest," Johnson Sirleaf said, referring to Liberia's capital city.

Now my question is, in these "third world countries" they had already managed to bring the disease under control in Nigeria and Senegal and even Liberia's president are saying that the disease are showing signs of stabilising in her country.

If these overpopulated countries, with limited medical infrastructure and supplies could kept the infection down and bring the disease under control what is stopping the US to do the same.

If it was such a very serious disease (containing and spreading) you would have seen more people dieing and infected in these countries.

Please stop with the fear mongering, you are not going to die of Ebola you are going to die because of FEAR and heart attacks.
