Lets share what we know since there are lots of us who might have info that is not being reported in the MSM. In Texas we take care of our own. Quoting: CowgirlK NOTE: Spammers and Haters will not be tolerated on this thread! Please don't post anything regarding the politics of the Ebola situation. It is what it is and now we have to deal with it. I'm trying to keep this a friendly thread for those of us on the ground in Texas to share advice and info. Thank You in advance for understanding. Remember that thread from the other day where someone claiming to be nurse said Presbyterian Hospital was canceling all surgeries? Well, I call BS and this is why. This morning my daughter went to ground zero (Presby hospital) with her boyfriend who was having a tonsillectomy over in the surgery center. Anyway, They did ask her boyfriend pre-op if he has traveled recently. He said," No, but I do live in North Dallas not too far from the Ebola guy." The nurse did not think that was funny. It wasn't meant to be funny, it's the truth. I asked her if she saw anything odd around the surgery center. She said, other than a sign at the front door that reads, If you are coughing or sneezing...do not enter" Everything seemed normal. Please put EBOLA in your title thread. It is important to do so. |

Now, Dallas Mayor Mike Rawlings is admitting to 'missteps' in how the Ebola response has been handled. Liberian national Thomas Duncan is still in critical condition for a second day. Officials searched several hours for a homeless man who rode in the same ambulance right after Duncan a week ago today. He's considered low-risk and is now being watched at parkland hospital. Most of the unscented bleach, however, had sold out, whereas there was full variety of the scented bleaches. Usually the store would be stocked or low on stock equally. But more of the unscented had sold recently. Rubbling Alcohol!!! They were OUT, all except for some tiny puny bottles of 50%. They were OUT of isopropyl "rubbing" alcohol!!! No 70%, no 91%, no big bottles, no small bottles, no name brand, no generic. NONE. They did have one big box of 100 count latex gloves, and a bunch of small boxes. I added the big box to my Giant Hoard. I Support Our First Responders |

I was at Lowe's yesterday and bought the last respirator mask on the shelf. Not the N95 paper masks but the 40 dollar respirator ones. I have plenty of the paper ones but I wanted an industrial strength mask too. lol Rolls of painters plastic drop cloth was running low but they did have plenty of latex gloves. Interesting your store was out of bleach and rubbing alcohol. Go to a pool supply store and buy pool shock (Calcium Hypochlorite) and make your own. [link to tacticalintelligence.net] |

(OP) User ID: 59948382 United States 10/08/2014 06:53 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | You might want to consider getting some of this stuff. Eblen exports Asheville technology to battle Ebola An infection-fighting technology manufactured here in Asheville is making its way to West Africa to help combat the Ebola epidemic that has infected 1,900 people so far. “We think our product can kill the Ebola virus,” said Steve Woody, president of Avadim Technologies. Founded in 2007, the company makes foams, sprays and wipes using a patented Theraworx formula that can safely disinfect skin of even “super bugs” — viruses that have grown resistant to antibiotics. The company aims to live up to its name, Avadim, which means “to serve,” Woody said. Currently selling to some 50 U.S. hospitals and opening up contracts with the U.S. military, the company always intended to donate some of its product to missionaries and nonprofits serving third-world countries, “to help heal the world,” Woody said. Read the rest of the article here: [link to www.citizen-times.com] The product is called Theraworx and one of the main ingredients in Colloidal Silver. I bought some and its really nice hand cleaner, better than that hand sanitizer stuff that you buy at the dollar store. It's not cheap but you get what you pay for. I bough mine from here: [link to www.healthykin.com (secure)] Do an online search. I'm sure other places sell it too. |

Other than the storms that rolled through tonight nothing out of the ordinary. Grocery store was pretty busy last night and they ran out of bottled water and bleach, but all was restocked this afternoon. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 62810043 Thank you for the report. I figured if people were stocking up water and bleach would be the first things to go. Glad to hear everything has been restocked and back to normal. Im going to head to the store tomorrow and check things out. Thread: TEXANS: Noticed any increased shopping activity yet? Empty shelves at stores? Are we being told the full truth? And wtf happened to Duncan's contacts, girlfriend, kids, etc. - curious there has been no further info there... |
