Re: My Fellow Texans - Please Report In!
are that the State Fair is currently being held in Dallas a. well as this weekends football game. Houston Texans at Dallas Cowboys.

All these people from ALL over congregating in the same place.

If it does spread, it will spread fast.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 61879515

Thats what iam worried about. Tons of people go to the s. te fair it gets pretty crowded. It maybe a little extreme but i already canceled my plans to go this year. Just not taking that chance, hell at least ill save some money.

I thought the same thing a couple of days ago but now I'm sitting on the fence. Am I going to stop living my life because of this Ebola situation? Probably not. If its in the general population, I could pick it up in the grocery store just as easily as at the fair. I'll wait a week to see if we have any more cases and if it seems to be under control, I'm going to the fair and eat fried everything!
 Quoting: CowgirlK

Well I look at it like this... The chances of getting infected or exposed are much higher at a fair compared to a grocery store or else where. There is so much that people touch and interact with at the fair. Food vendors, rides, midway games, tickets, petting zoo, new car show, small not always the cleanest restrooms. When you go to the store odds are your not gonna touch a bunch of things or intact with too many people. Not really putting life on hold, just trying to protect me and my family I hope this gets better not worse.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 4224511

Fair would be nothing, have said from the beginning that more concerned about Cowboys (any sports event) games. 80,000+ in confined space.

No, I hadn't. Thanks for the link.

I'm sorry. This just makes me think BS about all of it :( Who in their right mind would go in there without any protection. They must think we're all a bunch of idiots.

YW.

It's not adding up, is it?

What's your theory?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 56411813

Don't think that was the apt he was staying in. Think they moved the family to another apt that was not contaminated. If you leave them in the contaminated apt, they will get it at some point over time. Also, you would have to start the 21 day period over. They have to be in an environment not contaminated. Then if one of them test positive, the other in there will have to start 21 day over.
 Quoting: TeamReaper

If they're in an apartment building with central air there is the very real concern to other residents via the ventilation system. Now one family, becomes many.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 10221590

Without question, any apt would be bad.

Have been trying to find out a few things, one of is if there are restrictions for other residents from LE or officials.

Dallas County Health and Human Services Director Zach Thompson said there is only one confirmed case of Ebola in the Dallas-Fort Worth area and no one else is showing symptoms of the deadly disease.

Yo to my East TX friends. I am VZ also, less than hour SE of Big D. I don't get out much so no clue what goes there except we are trying to warn folks to be safe, etc. I have not noticed anything missing from shelves at the only store in my town which is Dollar store Except the small plastic bottles of coke. Went there yesterday to stock up on a few OTC meds, soups on sale, etc. They thought I was nuts cuz I had on gloves and 2 full carts. LOL

Dallas apparently still hasn't cleaned the apartment where the 4 family members exposed to #Ebola are being quarantined.
 Quoting: < DL >

TEN DAYS LATER! That goes hand in hand with the powerwashing vs. detox AND the health officials not wearing protective gear. Something is very fishy about all of this NON-normal stuff going on. ie. proper procedures NOT being followed, especially after all of the hazmat suits on victim 1 in GA. None of it makes absolutely any sense. Verrry fishy.

Here are some tweets I've found that are of interest.

Attendance at five schools attended by students who had contact with Ebola patient in Dallas at 86 percent, usually at 95 or 96. #talkdisd.

Valley Ranch here. Resigned from DPD, still contacts there. Also, former academy classmate is now with Dallas Fire.

McKinney, Tx here, 25 miles north of Ground Zero. Cops had two roads blocked off today in front of my kids elementary school. God forgive me, I actually thought to myself, "Man, I hope it was just a kid that got hit crossing the road."

When my son got home he said they told them they couldn't go outside for recess until the firemen were finished (this would have been several hours later). When they asked why the teacher said, "We have to take some drastic measures". He remembered because he wanted to ask me what "drastic measures" meant.

Checked the local paper website, no story. Checked the incident reporting on the local PD website, nothing. No communication from the school. They're supposed to go on a field trip to the Dallas Museum of Art tomorrow.

My boy won't be going. You can call me paranoid when you post a pic of your kid down there in the Hot Zone.

Re: My Fellow Texans - Please Report In!
hi, we moved from downtown dallas to the woods of texas last year. too much funky stuff. caught homeland security hanging out at a crack house, with a pedo living there. finally figured out the dhs gal was a crook and the pedo was an asset.

dhs vehicles everywhere downtown, they have their own SWAT team tv show no less. very much an international UN 'new city' and the popo being trained under UN mandate, not US constitutional law.

when the fifth dpd officer told us to get outta dallas we did.

i told you that to tell you this: the whole 'ebola' thing there is a staged event meant to create fear for a lot of reasons, here are just a few:

1. they need folks to get the vaccines so they have trials in the US, so they need folks DEMANDING a 'cure'

2. the dollar is gonna crash re: the IMF reset for 2014, and the ebola deal gives it wings. folks quit going out, quit eating out, quit buying stuff to go out in, keep their kids outta school, stop going to work, truckers quit bringing in food, well, you get my drift. enough paranoia and the city shuts down.

3. the 'ebola' they are selling is fake. some of you talking about how they are not doing it right ie germs, gloves, etc; they have all the tools and machines and knowledge to do it right, but it is not the real 'ebola' they are just telling you it is. how would you know the difference?

4. the whole open borders thing gives them cover on the vaccine trials, and if you remember a coupla years ago, US vaccine makers got caught shipping LIVE VIRUS in vaccines headed for the UK and the shipments were returned, causing quite a skirmish for the state dept. you are supposed to blame the illegals for it.

5. the govt is set up now so that you can be 'accused' of being in the same area as somebody you don't know that is 'exposed' -- and again, how would you know who is and isn't unless they told you! -- so the govt is set up to force vaccines, force shelter in place, force removal to a 'secure location' if you are perceived as not following their direction ie it is being criminalized right now in dallas.'

6. once you are in their system they can force you to take their 'cure' which may or may not contain the live vaccine. at this point it will be moot.

7. the system is set up to take your assets, your kids, your home, everything if you do not comply. that is what they are setting precedent with in dallas.

8. the days before this 'ebola guy' showed up the hospitals were training for 'ebola.'

9. a dhs supplier actually leaked on twitter and it has not been backpeddled to my knowledge that this whole thing was set to roll Oct 1.

10. the UN ATT gun grab is scheduled to go into effect dec 24, christmas eve; it is supposed to be a long cold winter.

11. ISIS the terrorists have their own pharmaceutical company called what? ISIS PHARMACEUTICALS. they specialize in what? EBOLA AND MARBURG.

12. one of the biggest shareholders of ISIS PHARMACEUTICALS is BLACKROCK and they specialize in what? 'FINANCIAL MELTDOWNS.'

13. who is one of the BOARD OF DIRECTORS at ISIS PHARMACEUTICALS? big wig at GOLDMAN SACHS.

i have all the links but wanted to get this out there. look at the bigger picture.

IF THE EMTS etc REALLY THOUGHT A PERSON HAD EBOLA THEY WOULD ACT LIKE IT. remember the atlanta ebola gal nancy 'writebol' (ebola script LOL) and how those EMTS were dressed? it is airborne. you breathe in the microbes. the ebola being tossed about in dallas is a GMO version of the original and the patent is owned by the US GOVT/DOD.

i am not nuts although some of you will think that i am.
i just want you to see the bigger picture. when the medical personnel are not using CDC protocol it is a psyop, it is a drill, it is being reported as news, and it is designed to get you to panic and be fearful.

please do not.
i can copy and paste this with links but will take a while.

i hope some of you understand what i am saying.

Talked to my neighbor who has a little one in kindergarten there. She saw the road blocked and saw the FD was still there an hour later but assumed the same thing I did, that it was an accident.

I'm done making assumptions in this world. I'll be more vigilant next time. The only logical reason to keep the kids inside would be to keep them from seeing a horrible accident scene, but that would have made the news, wouldn't you think?

Families don't live in downtown. There are no schools or stores for them to shop in and the rents are too high. I know because my daughter just rented a 1 bedroom downtown for 1400 a month. The people living in downtown like the art district or Uptown are upward mobile 20-30 somethings. Maybe you lived in one of the areas outside the heart of the city.

What woods did you move too?

Not trying to be confrontational just trying to understand where you are coming from.

Re: My Fellow Texans - Please Report In!

Interesting. Did you talk to any other parents about what was going on at the school?

Talked to my neighbor who has a little one in kindergarten there. She saw the road blocked and saw the FD was still there an hour later but assumed the same thing I did, that it was an accident.

I'm done making assumptions in this world. I'll be more vigilant next time. The only logical reason to keep the kids inside would be to keep them from seeing a horrible accident scene, but that would have made the news, wouldn't you think?

I would think if it was really something, they would have sent a note home with the kids regarding the incident. Maybe it was a drill? Regardless, I would be marching into the school office in the morning and asking some questions.

Re: My Fellow Texans - Please Report In!
Arlington area here. 20 miles from presby. Other than the storms that rolled through tonight nothing out of the ordinary. Grocery store was pretty busy last night and they ran out of bottled water and bleach, but all was restocked this afternoon.

Thank you for the report. I figured if people were stocking up water and bleach would be the first things to go. Glad to hear everything has been restocked and back to normal. Im going to head to the store tomorrow and check things out.
