hi, we moved from downtown dallas to the woods of texas last year. too much funky stuff. caught homeland security hanging out at a crack house, with a pedo living there. finally figured out the dhs gal was a crook and the pedo was an asset.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 63538503

Families don't live in downtown. There are no schools or stores for them to shop in and the rents are too high. I know because my daughter just rented a 1 bedroom downtown for 1400 a month. The people living in downtown like the art district or Uptown are upward mobile 20-30 somethings. Maybe you lived in one of the areas outside the heart of the city.

What woods did you move too?

Not trying to be confrontational just trying to understand where you are coming from.
 Quoting: CowgirlK

well actually families DO live downtown LOL but i am a grandparent now, no kids at home. just musicians.

we are now in east texas. sorry was in a hurry and storm going overhead.

hi, we moved from downtown dallas to the woods of texas last year. too much funky stuff. caught homeland security hanging out at a crack house, with a pedo living there. finally figured out the dhs gal was a crook and the pedo was an asset.

dhs vehicles everywhere downtown, they have their own SWAT team tv show no less. very much an international UN 'new city' and the popo being trained under UN mandate, not US constitutional law.

when the fifth dpd officer told us to get outta dallas we did.

i told you that to tell you this: the whole 'ebola' thing there is a staged event meant to create fear for a lot of reasons, here are just a few:

1. they need folks to get the vaccines so they have trials in the US, so they need folks DEMANDING a 'cure'

2. the dollar is gonna crash re: the IMF reset for 2014, and the ebola deal gives it wings. folks quit going out, quit eating out, quit buying stuff to go out in, keep their kids outta school, stop going to work, truckers quit bringing in food, well, you get my drift. enough paranoia and the city shuts down.

3. the 'ebola' they are selling is fake. some of you talking about how they are not doing it right ie germs, gloves, etc; they have all the tools and machines and knowledge to do it right, but it is not the real 'ebola' they are just telling you it is. how would you know the difference?

4. the whole open borders thing gives them cover on the vaccine trials, and if you remember a coupla years ago, US vaccine makers got caught shipping LIVE VIRUS in vaccines headed for the UK and the shipments were returned, causing quite a skirmish for the state dept. you are supposed to blame the illegals for it.

5. the govt is set up now so that you can be 'accused' of being in the same area as somebody you don't know that is 'exposed' -- and again, how would you know who is and isn't unless they told you! -- so the govt is set up to force vaccines, force shelter in place, force removal to a 'secure location' if you are perceived as not following their direction ie it is being criminalized right now in dallas.'

6. once you are in their system they can force you to take their 'cure' which may or may not contain the live vaccine. at this point it will be moot.

7. the system is set up to take your assets, your kids, your home, everything if you do not comply. that is what they are setting precedent with in dallas.

8. the days before this 'ebola guy' showed up the hospitals were training for 'ebola.'

9. a dhs supplier actually leaked on twitter and it has not been backpeddled to my knowledge that this whole thing was set to roll Oct 1.

10. the UN ATT gun grab is scheduled to go into effect dec 24, christmas eve; it is supposed to be a long cold winter.

11. ISIS the terrorists have their own pharmaceutical company called what? ISIS PHARMACEUTICALS. they specialize in what? EBOLA AND MARBURG.

12. one of the biggest shareholders of ISIS PHARMACEUTICALS is BLACKROCK and they specialize in what? 'FINANCIAL MELTDOWNS.'

13. who is one of the BOARD OF DIRECTORS at ISIS PHARMACEUTICALS? big wig at GOLDMAN SACHS.

i have all the links but wanted to get this out there. look at the bigger picture.

IF THE EMTS etc REALLY THOUGHT A PERSON HAD EBOLA THEY WOULD ACT LIKE IT. remember the atlanta ebola gal nancy 'writebol' (ebola script LOL) and how those EMTS were dressed? it is airborne. you breathe in the microbes. the ebola being tossed about in dallas is a GMO version of the original and the patent is owned by the US GOVT/DOD.

i am not nuts although some of you will think that i am.
i just want you to see the bigger picture. when the medical personnel are not using CDC protocol it is a psyop, it is a drill, it is being reported as news, and it is designed to get you to panic and be fearful.

please do not.
i can copy and paste this with links but will take a while.

i hope some of you understand what i am saying.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 63538503

I have to understand what you are saying. I have been watching. My gut tells me ..it cannot be Ebola.

They would not be acting like this. No one can be this stupid. They would be in fear of dying. --with that said, I believe my first reaction to the pictures, stories of the sheets and towels still being on the bed where the sick guy was...etc., is exactly what they want. These are local stories. No CDC showing up. Horrific.

Something is not right.

we have been watching these drills go down for years and being reported as news. the dpd kept telling us to move, that dallas was 'gonna burn.' i assumed they were talking about riots, black-white-brown kinda stuff. but seeing all this unfold, we got into research mode, and found enough info to satisfy ourselves that this is going to be a big push for the winter.

big push on the ATT gun grab.

big push on the vaccines (that may or may not be chipped RFID, may or may not contain live virus.)

i worked with a lot of musicians and they are freaking out. but again, many of them voted for BO and think sandy hook was a 'tragedy' LOL

imo the fear and panic is exactly what they want. i am trying to wedge a foot in the door here.

Arlington area here. 20 miles from presby. Other than the storms that rolled through tonight nothing out of the ordinary. Grocery store was pretty busy last night and they ran out of bottled water and bleach, but all was restocked this afternoon.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 62810043

Thank you for the report. I figured if people were stocking up water and bleach would be the first things to go. Glad to hear everything has been restocked and back to normal. Im going to head to the store tomorrow and check things out.

Thread: TEXANS: Noticed any increased shopping activity yet? Empty shelves at stores?

I have a feeling (and I hope I'm wrong) that by next week we're going to see some serious runs on groceries, water, gasoline, medical supplies, etc. ~ Central Texas~ What concerns me most is the possibility of tainted water supplies throughout the Dallas area - I mean, like, the guy was puking, chocolate-showering, bathing, eating, drinking...where's all that liquid gone?

East Texas Piney Woods here 60 miles from LA border checking in

We are getting wallopped by the Dallas storm earlier already an inch of water in my guage and its only been raining 30 minutes

Not sure what to think about the Ebola case from Presby--certainly is mindblowing how this has been handled. Will agree with the above post about DPS "warning" some people to get out of Dallas, it's a target--have heard the same myself--tho I had not heard about the gun grab by the UN this Christmas. I would tend to believe it tho with the County Commissioner elected there--pure progressive liberal scum IMHO

I would really like to see them TRY to confiscate guns up here--lol Really feel sorry for the first two or three that come in the door anywhere up here--whole neighborhood is armed to the teeth--we hunt up here. There are two .50 cal Barretts in the neighborhood that I know of, and 3 miles away is a class 3 club with a couple of hundred members--mostly MD's, lawyers, upper echelon people--they ain't giving THOSE up you can bet your willies on that.

Get out of the cities if you can folks--country living is way far nicer

No ma'am I cut 4 oaks down two years ago place used to have 17 oaks but Rita took a bunch of them and pine beetles slowly got the rest only have 3 oaks now but they are massive trees a good 7 feet around at the trunk--probably next years firewood :(

Lake of the Pines for the last four years has been very very low, and the gardens around here have all been pitiful this year--even tho this is the coolest, wettest summer i can remember in the 30 years I have been here--have a brother in Houston--trying to convince him to leave, but he is stuck in the "upwardly mobile mindset" I worry about them--they are lost if something happens to Houston. When Rita came thru, he was one of the ones stuck on the 45 for 7 hours ran out of gas--shape of things to come I am afraid.

Remember that thread from the other day where someone claiming to be nurse said Presbyterian Hospital was canceling all surgeries? Well, I call BS on her and this is why.

This morning my daughter went to ground zero (Presby hospital) with her boyfriend who was having a tonsillectomy over in the surgery center.

Anyway, They did ask her boyfriend pre-op if he has traveled recently. He said," No, but I do live in North Dallas not too far from the Ebola guy." The nurse did not think that was funny. It wasn't meant to be funny, it's the truth.

I asked her if she saw anything odd around the surgery center. She said, other than a sign at the front door that reads, If you are coughing or sneezing...do not enter" Everything seemed normal.

Ive been wondering about Ebola and our water supply.

Here is some of info I have found:

PHYSICAL INACTIVATION: Ebola are moderately thermolabile and can be inactivated by heating for 30 minutes to 60 minutes at 60°C, boiling for 5 minutes, or gamma irradiation (1.2 x106 rads to 1.27 x106 rads) combined with 1% glutaraldehyde . Ebolavirus has also been determined to be moderately sensitive to UVC radiation.

[link to www.phac-aspc.gc.ca]

At sea level, water boils at 100 degrees Celsius or 212 degrees Fahrenheit. 60 Celsius is 140 Fahrenheit. So I guess you can kill the virus in boiling water. If it gets into our water supply boiling our water should make it safe to drink. Right?

Wanted to give an update in case I fall asleep before I here anything.

Have not talked in person, not sure when I will but am hopeful this weekend. We do not live close and each have families with kids.

I will say we chatted some yesterday and his tone was very "optimistic" and had faith that all would be well.

Tonight, completely different. Was very "guarded" and what I would describe as concerned. Complete 180 from last night. I know better not to ask specific and detailed questions via phone or texts. Would not put him in that position and he would know better not to answer. That said, if he was in full on "pucker mode" he would have let me know. We didn't have much time tonight, but I should also mention that being in LE and do not know what happened on his shift to make his tone change. It can be things not related to Ebola at all. For instance, he could have been called out to a child abuse case or a child mauling...several things that officers in LE encounter really does affect how they are. I will chat with him in the AM, if his tone is the same then will dig a little deeper.

It was as when you are overwhelmed and are trying to process a lot...really trying to avoid saying in "shock" as I do not want to add anything that I have not confirmed with him in person.

As for the former colleague who now is at Dallas Fire, haven't heard anything back yet...but not unusual considering I haven't spoke to him in a few yrs.

Will update when I hear more, didn't want to not respond tonight and leave everyone hanging, sorry I don't have anything more substantial as I know everyone wants to know.

At sea level, water boils at 100 degrees Celsius or 212 degrees Fahrenheit. 60 Celsius is 140 Fahrenheit. So I guess you can kill the virus in boiling water. If it gets into our water supply boiling our water should make it safe to drink. Right?

Cowgirl, have you noticed a high number of ER facilities being built within the past six months?

I have noticed a lot of stand alone ER's being built. They are practically on every street corner!

Not really. They have been doing some remodeling work over at Baylor. But then again, I'm probably the wrong person to ask because I stay as far away from Doctors and Hospitals as I can.

You don't have to go to the doctor or hospitals to notice construction of ER clinics in your area.

Re: My Fellow Texans - Please Report In!
Ok Neighbors... Grapevine, Texas reporting in. Lets share what we know since there are lots of us around here with eyes and ears to the ground.

NOTE: Spammers and Haters will not be tolerated on this thread!

Not a shill, spammer or hater. She said ELECTIVE surgeries. Not all...
 Quoting: Esoterica

His tonsillectomy was ELECTIVE surgery!! It was not life threatening and could have been postponed. The guy is in his 30's, not a child with a serious condition.
 Quoting: CowgirlK

That is not considered an elective surgery. Breast implant? Yes.. Facelift, yes..ect. My tonsillectomy was not life threatening, but Was not considered elective. Was deemed medically necessary. Big difference! Again, I would like to give the benefit of the doubt to anyone who would be willing to offer info, such as yourself. Lots of good info on this thread.
