Reaper..Thank You for the report!!!!I've been dragging my feet on things like filling the gas cans and a few more last minute preps. Considering what your friend "did not say" I think I'll be heading out soon to tie up the ends.

I've got a few people I can contact and try to shake them down for info. I'll let y'all know if I hear anything.

Stay Safe everyone!

Been trying to verify something before I posted this, but don't think I am going to hear back.

Everyone knows something is off with the cleaning if the apartment and their non compliance of being isolated.

Was trying to verify something about the kid who went to school yesterday and the kids backpack. More specifically, the contents of the backpack and whether it contained "soiled or contaminated" items that were passed off.

The student who was removed yesterday by health officials, anyone hear detail of how they acted in regards to the bag or if it was even present?

"DALLAS — Thomas Duncan shivered in the king-size bed, even though he was tucked under the covers and fully dressed — pants, socks and two shirts. It was Sunday morning, Sept. 28, and Duncan, from Liberia, had been in the United States visiting Louise Troh at her Dallas apartment for the past week. He felt weak and cold, he told Troh’s daughter, Youngor Jallah.

So Jallah took a quick trip to Wal-Mart and bought a $50 brown cotton blanket. When she returned, she draped it over Duncan’s shoulders and then gently lifted him by his back to try to get him to drink some hot tea. That’s when she looked into his eyes and knew in her heart that things were very bad."

This just keeps getting worse and worse. What else did she touch there???

If you are in the DFW metroplex, get what you need now. Top off the tanks in the vehicles. Once announcements are made you won't be able too. Cannot stress this enough. Only option is to be already set once they disclose information. Everything up to this point has not been accurate.

Be safe, be smart, trust your instincts.

Read what they said. It's not that it dropped from 100 to 50, but there are now 10 at high risk!!!

"Lakey said that most of those 50 monitored people are at low risk of infection, but 10 are considered to be at "high risk."

"Four people close to Duncan who were quarantined in the apartment in a northeastern section of the city "will be moved to another location soon," Dallas County Fire Marshal Robert De Los Santos told reporters. Earlier, the county said it was safe for them to remain there during the cleanup."

CDC and U.S. Gov in talks about using FEMA Centers to quarantine ebola patients. That doesn't sound like there isn't going to be a outbreak.

CDC can't manage 1 ebola case in the United States, how are they going to manage hundreds or thousands of ebola patients?

'The children usually spent part of each evening with their grandmother(Troh) because Jallah’s job as an overnight nursing assistant overlaps with Yah’s as a health aide. That Saturday night, the four kids slept overnight on their grandmother’s couches.'

I totally missed that part, do we know where they worked, any chance of infection at their jobs? That would blow this so far out the water

This is being considered a "national security" issue, I am not willing to go further (seriously think about that). Hence, this is why Judge Jenkins is taking charge. Hasn't anyone wondered why a judge is doing all the talking? Important to note the form of government in Dallas is a "council-manager" system. Yesterday (Thursday) just before 5:00PM things changed. Flow of information became...suppressed. Do you know what forces are at play here? To be able to do that isn't a joke. Not one person asked about the care-giver going to Walmart before the ambulance came.
Thread: Updated: 10/4/14 - Ebola caregiver went to Walmart

The best updates were here (notice the types of updates, tone, and the last update was at 3:57PM Thursday)
[link to blogs.dallasobserver.com]

Then, after the email this is what updates the reporter gave today (notice the difference?)
[link to blogs.dallasobserver.com]

The email from City:
Not long after, a little before 5 p.m., Dallas City Hall spokesman Sana Syed sent a stern email to the news media. "Numerous reporters and photographers converged on a northeast Dallas apartment complex today, in which the Ebola patient was residing," Syed wrote. "We have received reports about overly aggressive behavior by some media representatives which has unnecessarily alarmed many of the residents. We understand that you have a job to do, but we ask that you also be mindful of the safety and security of these residents."
[link to blogs.dallasobserver.com]

Judge Jenkins is also the Director of Homeland Security and Emergency Management:
[link to www.dallascounty.org]

3 yrs ago Judge Jenkins axed former Homeland Security Director for Dallas County:
"Jenkins in which he takes responsibility for axing Chambers -- something to do with "performance issues," though he's not more specific. He also goes out of his way to say that "I did not consult with any Commissioner on my decision nor share my decision with any of them prior to her termination."
[link to blogs.dallasobserver.com]

DPD has always had issues with the city government. I remember when I was in the academy (not too long ago) when I learned they refused to put cages in the police cars. When you arrested someone, they sat next to you in the front seat, I kid you not!! Anyway, this Ebola crisis has created an unbelievable amount of tension in what is going on between them.

There is a lot going on in the background. Really starting to think the are trying to quietly get the "infrastructure " in place before others really start testing positive. Once that happens, things will change quickly.

Will try and give updates as I hear them, but no guarantees.

Thanks for this. I've been wondering why Judge Jenkins is doing all the talking and bossing.

Do you know where they took the family? Was it both sets of households or just the one? Did they really go to a suburban home in a gated community or is that a fancy way of saying they are being detained behind bars?

Thanks for all the info Reaper!

I spent most of the day yesterday doing a little last minute prep. I dont have much news to report other than people around my neck of the woods are quietly stocking up. I went to get dog food yesterday and talked to the owner of the store for a while. He said people are purchasing more than normal amounts of dog food and a doubling up on their orders.

Stopped by the pool supply store to grab a couple of single use bags of pool shock so I can make my own chlorine. I keep a 25 lb tub of shock for my pool but I don't want to open it unless I have too. I asked the kid at the counter if he noticed people without pools coming in for chlorine products. He said, not yet, but he expects that to pick up shortly.

If anyone is interested, here is a link that will teach you how to make your own chlorine.

Pool Shock: Making your Own Bleach
[link to www.greatnorthernprepper.com]

FYI, liquid chlorine off the shelf breaks down in about 6 months. Powder shock will last for 10 years. A small bag of shock is only about 5 bucks.

Im headed out again today. I'll keep y'all posted if I hear anything new.

Notice I didn't say PURE water--fracking everywhere--check water BEFORE you sign papers wherever you land.

No reports of chickamungya, E68, or Ebola in Longview/Tyler area--yet Was a very insignificant season for West Nile as well. Cops are becoming more and more, um, shall we say aggressive--tickets being written for leaving your car running when popping into the neighborhood convience store, and reguardless of temperature tickets for children left in an unattended car. Even saw a cop write a ticket to a kid on a bicycle the other day--no kidding.

Come on over--the BBQ is smokin'!

AUSTIN, Texas (KXAN)- A patient at Seton Medical Center Austin has been found to have symptoms that could be associated with the Ebola virus.

The hospital’s Chief Operating Officer, Garry Olney, released a statement Saturday afternoon saying the patient arrived early that morning from another healthcare facility.

MANOR, Texas (KXAN) — Hundreds of refugees from western African now living in the greater Austin area wait anxiously each day for news regarding the Ebola outbreak in their native land. They hope and pray for American aid to make it in time to protect their friends and loved ones from the deadly outbreak.

Collin county reporting here. Have not done much the last few days. But I did had to go to the grocery store a couple of days ago and we had no traffic, like when people are all out on vacation.

Did not send my son to school the last couple of days, but he is going back Monday, unless something major develops. When I saw that major walking in without protective gear, I started thinking all this may be a hoax, but I guess you never know, people nowadays make no sense to me.

McKinney, Tx here, 25 miles north of Ground Zero. Cops had two roads blocked off today in front of my kids elementary school. God forgive me, I actually thought to myself, "Man, I hope it was just a kid that got hit crossing the road."

When my son got home he said they told them they couldn't go outside for recess until the firemen were finished (this would have been several hours later). When they asked why the teacher said, "We have to take some drastic measures". He remembered because he wanted to ask me what "drastic measures" meant.

Checked the local paper website, no story. Checked the incident reporting on the local PD website, nothing. No communication from the school. They're supposed to go on a field trip to the Dallas Museum of Art tomorrow.

My boy won't be going. You can call me paranoid when you post a pic of your kid down there in the Hot Zone.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 61289510

Hey don't worry if it was near RJE what happened is that a transformer broke. Like the huge ones that transfer to the neighborhood. The electricity and energy was all over and the ground is a conductor. Kids could have been electrocuted if they went to recess. It had nothing to do with the ebola.

Re: My Fellow Texans - Please Report In!
hi, we moved from downtown dallas to the woods of texas last year. too much funky stuff. caught homeland security hanging out at a crack house, with a pedo living there. finally figured out the dhs gal was a crook and the pedo was an asset.

dhs vehicles everywhere downtown, they have their own SWAT team tv show no less. very much an international UN 'new city' and the popo being trained under UN mandate, not US constitutional law.

when the fifth dpd officer told us to get outta dallas we did.

i told you that to tell you this: the whole 'ebola' thing there is a staged event meant to create fear for a lot of reasons, here are just a few:

1. they need folks to get the vaccines so they have trials in the US, so they need folks DEMANDING a 'cure'

2. the dollar is gonna crash re: the IMF reset for 2014, and the ebola deal gives it wings. folks quit going out, quit eating out, quit buying stuff to go out in, keep their kids outta school, stop going to work, truckers quit bringing in food, well, you get my drift. enough paranoia and the city shuts down.

3. the 'ebola' they are selling is fake. some of you talking about how they are not doing it right ie germs, gloves, etc; they have all the tools and machines and knowledge to do it right, but it is not the real 'ebola' they are just telling you it is. how would you know the difference?

4. the whole open borders thing gives them cover on the vaccine trials, and if you remember a coupla years ago, US vaccine makers got caught shipping LIVE VIRUS in vaccines headed for the UK and the shipments were returned, causing quite a skirmish for the state dept. you are supposed to blame the illegals for it.

5. the govt is set up now so that you can be 'accused' of being in the same area as somebody you don't know that is 'exposed' -- and again, how would you know who is and isn't unless they told you! -- so the govt is set up to force vaccines, force shelter in place, force removal to a 'secure location' if you are perceived as not following their direction ie it is being criminalized right now in dallas.'

6. once you are in their system they can force you to take their 'cure' which may or may not contain the live vaccine. at this point it will be moot.

7. the system is set up to take your assets, your kids, your home, everything if you do not comply. that is what they are setting precedent with in dallas.

8. the days before this 'ebola guy' showed up the hospitals were training for 'ebola.'

9. a dhs supplier actually leaked on twitter and it has not been backpeddled to my knowledge that this whole thing was set to roll Oct 1.

10. the UN ATT gun grab is scheduled to go into effect dec 24, christmas eve; it is supposed to be a long cold winter.

11. ISIS the terrorists have their own pharmaceutical company called what? ISIS PHARMACEUTICALS. they specialize in what? EBOLA AND MARBURG.

12. one of the biggest shareholders of ISIS PHARMACEUTICALS is BLACKROCK and they specialize in what? 'FINANCIAL MELTDOWNS.'

13. who is one of the BOARD OF DIRECTORS at ISIS PHARMACEUTICALS? big wig at GOLDMAN SACHS.

i have all the links but wanted to get this out there. look at the bigger picture.

IF THE EMTS etc REALLY THOUGHT A PERSON HAD EBOLA THEY WOULD ACT LIKE IT. remember the atlanta ebola gal nancy 'writebol' (ebola script LOL) and how those EMTS were dressed? it is airborne. you breathe in the microbes. the ebola being tossed about in dallas is a GMO version of the original and the patent is owned by the US GOVT/DOD.

i am not nuts although some of you will think that i am.
i just want you to see the bigger picture. when the medical personnel are not using CDC protocol it is a psyop, it is a drill, it is being reported as news, and it is designed to get you to panic and be fearful.

please do not.
i can copy and paste this with links but will take a while.

i hope some of you understand what i am saying.

Re: My Fellow Texans - Please Report In!
Your neighbor to the North, reporting in from central Oklahoma

We are physically closer to DFW than lots of places in TX are, geographically speaking

And we are deeply, inextricably intertwined with DFW via I-35 and our airports

I work at an airport, and interact with the public a lot. An airport is pretty much a small city unto itself with ALL of the functions and offices of a municipality -- from administration to janitors -- plus all of the stakeholder entities, airlines, then restaraunts and vendors . Add every alphabet agency known to man plus our own police and fire/paramedics.

Ever meet one of those "airport people" who wanders around in nondescript business casual wear, with a ton of badges and keys on a lanyard, who greets you all too cheerfully at zero dark thirty in the predawn hours?

And you never quite figure out who they work for or what they do.

It's nothing sinister!

It's monitoring and managing "passenger flow"

Anyway, I hear ALL the airport gossip.

Stakeholder entities DO each have an "ebola awareness" program, although it is up to each airline what they do and how they do it.

Yesterday I saw one mom and school age daughter -- very suburban white bread looking -- come through wearing filter masks. They made it through security without anything unusual occurring.

Somebody asked me if TSA is testing people for ebola ( they randomly swab people's hands), so I suggested she just ask the TSA officer, which she did. No problem. No they did not swab for ebola, but for something else.

I see people using the free hand sanitizer dispensers, but not any more
than usual.

No major weirdness going on here... Yet

But there is lots and lots of talk about ebola. Airport staff are aware of it and concerned!

A lot of us are keenly following the DFW area situation. You are so nearby -- especially by air

(DFW is an international airport, whereas where I am is a domestic airport, so we are not staffed with Customs officers like DFW is)

Glad to answer any questions I can

Hey Mockingbird!!!! Nice to see you. Thanks for the report.

As you know my daughter works at a major hotel in Downtown Dallas. Once folks leave the airport, a lot of them head to hotels, so my baby girl is on the front lines as well. My son works at a major hotel too but he is one of those 20 something IT kids who thinks that his mom is crazy for worrying about ebola.

Anyway, my daughter has had a few days off but last report on Thursday was her front desk staff are totally freaked out and wearing throw away gloves that they have absconded with from housekeeping.

Speaking of housekeeping, I'll check with her to see if there has been any special instructions given to the housekeeping staff regarding cleaning procedures due to Ebola's spread to America.

Thanks for Checking in Neighbor!!!

I did notice that housekeeping is using some new different product, and that they did a pass through to sanitize bathrooms at a time of day they do not typically do so.

Janitorial services are a contract service here, so I am out of the loop on their protocol.

I have seen some airline staff at counters and gates wearing disposable gloves, but not most of them. That gives me a heads up on what various airlines are advising to their staffpeople. Right now it appears to be a personal option to wear gloves.

Re: My Fellow Texans - Please Report In!
This is how this ebola will spread. Maybe not this time, but soon. This was in my email:

The health and safety of our students is always our top priority at Aubrey ISD. When issues of concern are brought to our attention, we feel it is important to share the facts with you.

This morning, we were made aware that a parent of children at Early Bird Learning Center works at a Dallas ISD school. One of the five children who had contact with the man confirmed with the Ebola virus attended this school. But, this parent had no direct contact with any of these children. As a precautionary measure, these Dallas ISD children were immediately removed from school and are under observation by the Dallas County Health and Human Services Department. The children did not present any symptoms and there was nothing to suggest that the disease was spread to others, including students and staff.

After speaking with the Denton County Health, Director, Dr. Matt Richardson, he informed us that individuals are not contagious until symptoms appear. Again, the parent did not have any direct contact with any of the Dallas ISD students that have been quarantined as a precaution, even though they did not have any symptoms of the disease. Because of this, Denton County Health Department assures us there is no imminent danger to our students, your children or yourself.

Please know that Aubrey ISD is in regular communication with the Denton County Health Department and we will provide updates as they are received. In addition, the district is taking the following actions as precautionary:

· District health assistants will keep close watch on any student who comes to the office with fever or flu-like symptoms, etc.

· Staff will temporarily limit physical contact with students including shaking hands until further notice.

· Staff will continue to encourage students to wash hands and/or use the sanitizer dispensers frequently.
