Anyone notice that Orion shifted SW? Is this NORMAL
When I get up in the morning go out to have my smoke, I stare at Orion ~SE and Cassiopeia ~NW, this morning I went out and Orion is SW? Anyone confirm that this morning? Or is this normal? I am trying to look up how stars move or the Earth with the constellations, can anyone give me some insight? TY!

wtf

The correct answer is that the constellations appear to move to rotate toward the west as the earth goes around the sun. Each day, they will appear to have rotated just under one degree further west. See:

I saw Orion in the sky for a couple of nights about a month ago, and I hadn't seen it in months prior, but that same week that I saw it, it just seemed to disappear.
