"This generation will by no means pass away till all these things are fulfilled." (Matthew 24:34) The destruction of Jerusalem occurred within 40 years of him saying this. There has been Famine: One of them, named Agabus, stood up and through the Spirit predicted that a severe famine would spread over the entire Roman world. (This happened during the reign of Claudius.) (Acts 11:28) False Christs and false teachers Now for some time a man named Simon had practiced sorcery in the city and amazed all the people of Samaria. He boasted that he was someone great, and all the people, both high and low, gave him their attention and exclaimed, “This man is rightly called the Great Power of God.” They followed him because he had amazed them for a long time with his sorcery. (Acts 8: 9-11) Persecution of Christians On that day a great persecution broke out against the church in Jerusalem, and all except the apostles were scattered throughout Judea and Samaria. Godly men buried Stephen and mourned deeply for him. But Saul began to destroy the church. Going from house to house, he dragged off both men and women and put them in prison. (Acts 8:1-3) Wars and rumors of wars Too many examples to list including when the Romans destroyed the Temple. That's why I included this: There will be a Gog Magog war (Ezekiel 38) that starts with God putting a hook in the enemies jaw, drawing them down to attack Israel - subsequently God supernaturally destroying them, so ALL heathen, and Israel finally recognize God and fulfillment of the promise that NOW All Israelis return from the 4 corners of the earth. Ezekiel 39:25. Here's the prophecy: n the latter years thou shalt come into the land that is brought back from the sword, and is gathered out of many people, against the mountains of Israel, which have been always waste: but it is brought forth out of the nations, and they shall dwell safely all of them. Notice Nations - not nation 9 Thou shalt ascend and come like a storm, thou shalt be like a cloud to cover the land, thou, and all thy bands, and many people with thee. 10 Thus saith the Lord God; It shall also come to pass, that at the same time shall things come into thy mind, and thou shalt think an evil thought: 11 And thou shalt say, I will go up to the land of unwalled villages; I will go to them that are at rest, that dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates, 12 To take a spoil, and to take a prey; to turn thine hand upon the desolate places that are now inhabited, and upon the people that are gathered out of the nations, which have gotten cattle and goods, that dwell in the midst of the land. 13 Sheba, and Dedan, and the merchants of Tarshish, with all the young lions thereof, shall say unto thee, Art thou come to take a spoil? hast thou gathered thy company to take a prey? to carry away silver and gold, to take away cattle and goods, to take a great spoil? 14 Therefore, son of man, prophesy and say unto Gog, Thus saith the Lord God; In that day when my people of Israel dwelleth safely, shalt thou not know it? Don't you know I am protecting my people? 15 And thou shalt come from thy place out of the north parts, thou, and many people with thee, all of them riding upon horses, a great company, and a mighty army: 16 And thou shalt come up against my people of Israel, as a cloud to cover the land; it shall be in the latter days, and I will bring thee against my land, that the heathen may know me, when I shall be sanctified in thee, O Gog, before their eyes. 17 Thus saith the Lord God; Art thou he of whom I have spoken in old time by my servants the prophets of Israel, which prophesied in those days many years that I would bring thee against them? 18 And it shall come to pass at the same time when Gog shall come against the land of Israel, saith the Lord God, that my fury shall come up in my face. 19 For in my jealousy and in the fire of my wrath have I spoken, Surely in that day there shall be a great shaking in the land of Israel; Ezekiel 39:25 NOW I will bring them ALL back 25 Therefore thus saith the Lord God; Now will I bring again the captivity of Jacob, and have mercy upon the whole house of Israel, and will be jealous for my holy name; 26 After that they have borne their shame, and all their trespasses whereby they have trespassed against me, when they dwelt safely in their land, and none made them afraid. 27 When I have brought them again from the people, and gathered them out of their enemies' lands, and am sanctified in them in the sight of many nations; 28 Then shall they know that I am the Lord their God, which caused them to be led into captivity among the heathen: but I have gathered them unto their own land, and have left none of them any more there. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 63610514 Revelation was about the fall of roman. It was considered a book of history until despensationalism gained popularity after the civil war. Though invented in England, it's a decidedly american only theological thought. A Mathematical Bible Prophecy . . . Although a little obscure (and sophisticated) this is one of the most fascinating prophecies found in the Bible. Here, we find God telling Ezekiel that each day he (Ezekiel) lies on his side will represent one year of punishment for the nation Israel (Israel + Judah) because of their iniquities (sins) against God . . . So, we have: 390 days Judgment against the 10 northern tribes 'Israel' + 40 days Judgment against the 2 southern tribes 'Judah' = 430 years Judgment against the nation of Israel The Fulfillment of the Prophetic Judgment Begins . . . In 606 B.C. Israel (Judah) was taken into captivity by Babylon for exactly 70 years .. 430 years of judgment determined against nation Israel - 70 years fulfilled during the captivity in Babylon = 360 years remaining in judgment against the nation of Israel The Mystery of 360 Years . . . There should have been a total of 360 years left in judgment against Israel after their release from Babylonian captivity by the Persian general Cyrus, exactly 70 years after the Babylonian captivity began (just as the prophet Jeremiah had prophesied before the captivity) ... but where was the remaining 360 year judgment in Israel's history??! The '7X' Factor of God's Judgment . . . Bible scholars could not find any specific captivity or dispersion that fulfilled these 360 years left in the judgment until a close look in the book of Leviticus revealed a startling prophetic warning ... "And after all this, if you do not obey Me, then I (God) will punish you seven times more for your sins." (Leviticus 26:18) "Then, if you walk contrary to Me, and are not willing to obey Me, I (God) will bring on you seven times more plagues, according to your sins." (Leviticus 26:21) "And after all this, if you do not obey Me, but walk contrary to Me, then I (God) also will walk contrary to you in fury; and I, even I will chastise you seven times for your sins.: (Leviticus 26:27-28) "I (God) will scatter you among the nations and draw a sword after you; your Land shall be desolate and your cities waste." (Leviticus 26:33) The 7X factor of God's judgment against nation Israel. God warned Israel if they continued in their disobedience He would multiply their judgment by seven times! Remember, as noted throughout these prophetic studies, God says what He means and He means what He says! Prophecy Fulfilled . . . Now, let's apply the 7X factor to the remaining 360 years of judgment against nation Israel in this remarkable mathematical prophecy . . . 360 Remaining years of judgment x 7 The prophetic '7X' factor = 2,520 Years of judgment remained against nation Israel God gave the Jews the most sophisticated calendar on Earth. It is both a Lunar and a Solar calendar. The Jewish calendar uses a 360 day lunar (and prophetic) year and then adds a 'Leap Month' on specific years to accurately coincide with the Solar cycle we use on our 'Julian' calendar ... The Bible uses 360 day years for prophecies and expects us to add the appropriate 'leap months' on schedule. So, the easiest way to unravel this prophecy is to first convert this prophecy into days ... 2,520 years x 360 days = 907,200 days of judgment remained against nation Israel after the Babylonian captivity Now, convert the 907,200 days found in this prophecy into our 365.25 day solar years (the .25 adjusts for leap years) . . . 907,200 days ÷ 365.25 days = 2,483.78 years of judgment remained against nation Israel With this information, let's look at this remarkable prophecy again . . . 606 B.C Israel taken into Babylonian captivity - 70 Years for 70 years = 536 B.C. End of first 70 years of judgment + 2483 Years Now add the 2,483 years remaining in this judgment + 1 Year Add 1 year because there is no "0" B.C. or A.D. = 1948 AD! End of judgment against nation Israel Israel Back in Her Land as a Nation . . . in 1948! Judah (Israel) was taken into captivity by the Babylonians in 606 B.C. They were released from captivity 70 years later by the Persians in 536 A.D., exactly as the prophet Jeremiah had prophesied, but their land was still under the control of the Persians. The Persians were later conquered by the Greeks, and the land of Israel remained under Greek control. The Greeks were then conquered by Rome and the land of Israel remained under Roman control. After failed rebellions against Rome around 70 A.D. and another around 100 years later, the Romans removed the Jews from the land of Israel, dispersed them around the world, and renamed the land 'Palestine' after the enemies of Israel. Then, after 2,500 years, for the first time since the Babylonian captivity in 606 B.C., the world watched as Israel once again appeared on the world map as a sovereign nation, on May 14, 1948 ... exactly when the Bible said it would! Rev 13:15 Political correctness has become a tool the antichrist will use to the fullest to take control of the world through the already acquiescent media. Evil and perversity rules - especially on the internet. There is a RISE IN SPIRITUALISM doctrines of the devils.1 Timothy 4:1 ...'Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils.' So when Jesus says we will SEE the antichrist defile the holy place from a field or on a rooftop - one has to ask why did Jesus use these examples? This is only possible with a smartphone. Keep in mind - only the priests can enter the holy place. No worshipers will be in there. In the parable of the fig tree - Jesus says when we SEE ALL these things - including the AC in the holy place - THIS is the generation that shall see all prophecies fulfilled. |

So op, don't you think humans said the same thing about the Spanish flu, or say the Ebonic plague which decimated millions? Let go of this end thing, as there is always going to be a pandemic, always going to be chaos, but your savior is not coming back, if he was, he would have been back hundreds if not thousands of years ago. |

The woman of Revelation 12 represents the God's Old Testament people and also His New Testament people, the stars in her crown represent the twelve sons of Jacob/Israel as well as the twelve Apostles. It's the same woman. The Jews were supposed to accept their Messiah, but they didn't, they screwed up big time. We are definitely at the end of the end ties. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 60991714 The technology never existed before this generation to fulfill ALL prophecies - it does NOW: So when Jesus says we will SEE the antichrist defile the holy place from a field or on a rooftop - one has to ask why did Jesus use these examples? This is only possible with a smartphone 2 Peter:3:3 Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, 4 And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation. In the parable of the fig tree - Jesus says when we SEE ALL these things - including the AC in the holy place - THIS is the generation that shall see all prophecies fulfilled. Also - the mark of the beast can be administered now The beast that moves and speaks and must worshiped or be killed can be transmitted to everyones home now. All these prophecies require the entire world - to SEE ALL these things also. Antichrist will devour the entire world Dan7. - and then declare he is God. |

You're a false prophet peddling theology invented in the 1830s. You're going to hell. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 45157118 Methodically go through every prophecy I posted and you will find they are all true or very much in the process of being fulfilled. Also note I posted the book, chapter and verse for each. About the age of dispensationalism - you might find this interesting: John in these particular verses, is saying there will be no other dispensations given to us before the end of the great tribulation - this is the last. At present we are under the dispensation of grace - meaning: "The sixth dispensation, the one in which we now live, is the Dispensation of Grace. It began with the New Covenant in Christ’s blood (Luke 22:20). This “Age of Grace” or “Church Age” occurs between the 69th and 70th week of Daniel 9:24. It starts with the death of Christ and ends with the Rapture of the church (1 Thessalonians 4). This dispensation is worldwide and includes both Jews and the Gentiles. Man’s responsibility during the Dispensation of Grace is to believe in Jesus, the Son of God (John 3:18). In this dispensation the Holy Spirit indwells believers as the Comforter (John 14:16-26). This dispensation has lasted for over 2,000 years, and no one knows when it will end. We do know that it will end with the Rapture of all born-again believers from the earth to go to heaven with Christ. Following the Rapture will be the judgments of God lasting for seven years." There will be a bad smell.” Martha was the sister of the dead man. 40 Then Jesus said to her, “Remember what I told you? I said that if you believed, you would see God’s divine greatness.” 41 So they moved the stone away from the entrance. Then Jesus looked up and said, “Father, I thank you that you heard me." |

And sometimes "shortly" means just what it says. I'm sure John was not thinking in terms of the prophecies beginning after a thousand years and then all of them happening at the same time. The historical flow of the Bible prophecies trace the movements of Christianity and will take us to the exact place we should be at the exact time the specific event is happening; but most churches prefer to guess and assign "dispensations" and different requirements along the line, they look in the wrong place for fulfillment of the prophecies. However, it will come together eventually and people will choose for or against God. |

That verse has nothing to do with interpreting prophecy; imagine how confusing it would be, this thing could go on for many thousands of years while other texts imply imminence. Read the context of what Peter was talking about. No wonder people laugh at Christians. |
