Re: DALLAS- Ebola contact Youngor Jallah told she doesn't have to isolate any longer
I am irritated because i want cold hard facts not BS from the news or something someone else has made up on twitter/facebook/etc. Is the virus contained or not? Is Duncan alive or not? Is the CDC playing with fire or are they faking/hyping this crap? I am trying to stay out of panic mode but it is hard to do with the stupidity of the way this has been handled along with the unanswered questions. This whole story with Duncan and his family is absurd.

I don't get these people. Sounds like they are only concerned only with themselves. If I had any contact with someone with this shit I would quarentine my damn self. I honestly could not live with myself If I spread a deadly disease around. Why would she take this chance? Why are they acting like victims? They KNEW there was the possibility that Duncan could drag this shit over here. I sure as fu*k wouldn't be complaining about having to be quarentined. Have any of his family been concerned about potential innocent people that may have been infected due to their negligence? I didn't think so...

Said since the beginning. This is considered a "national security" issue and information has been suppressed Thursday 5:00PM local time.

From the article:

"Frieden said he does not believe that Duncan has received any experimental medicines that have been used to treat Ebola. And he would not comment on whether another type of experimental treatment — convalescent serum made from the blood of Ebola survivors — is being used to treat Duncan, referring questions to the hospital caring for him. A spokeswoman for Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas did not respond to requests for comment"

How would the director of the CDC not know what treatment is being used to treat the first Ebola patient in the US (1st case to be confirmed while in US, not confirmed then brought here).

They have calculated the number of people who must get ebola from patient zero, and that number has not been reached yet.

Option 2 dallas is not a real event at all, but a test to show people it does not spread easily at all, and when 20 real cases pop up, do not worry

Option 3 the elite cannot get shit right including a virus that mutated too fast to be the killer they wanted.

Interesting timeline of comments and meetings at the White House:

Sept 26, the day of the first trip to the hospital for the Dallas case (before this case went public), he stated " Ebola is a national security priority"
[link to www.politico.com]

That same day (Friday, Sept. 26th) there was a meeting at the White House, look who was there:

The meeting was also attended by Health and Human Services Secretary Sylvia Mathews Burwell and Tom Frieden, director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, as well as Secretary of State John Kerry, Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel and National Security Adviser Susan Rice.
The presence of Hagel and Rice highlighted just how much Ebola has moved beyond the usual circles of a health emergency – and what future emergencies could hold
.

Today the danger is Ebola,” noted Rice. “Tomorrow it could be another flu outbreak or a terrorist armed with a biological weapon.”

[link to www.politico.com]

Wow, could you image if the Dallas case would have gone public BEFORE this meeting happened and these comments were made showing how serious they took the threat...just think, if it wasn't for that "tech flaw" keeping the patients history from the doctor it would have gone public before they had time to meet...funny how that works out sometimes (sarcasm, as I don't find this funny at all).

Sept 28 to Oct 5th, what is the CDC playing at?

The article is quite long, about the stigma the family and community is feeling. Both of Troh's daughter are interviewed, Mawhen- the one who picked him up at the airport, and Youngor- the one who cared for him and called the ambulance. The article indicates both daughters have been cleared by the CDC.

[link to www.washingtonpost.com]

Although CDC officials have cleared her, saying it is unlikely she contracted Ebola when she visited her mother’s apartment last week to welcome the man she calls her stepfather, she said she has been shunned.

Jallah said she did not touch Duncan when she greeted him. She said he was sitting in a chair as she said hello from the door of her mother’s bedroom. But she said people do not understand that it is nearly impossible to contract Ebola without touching the bodily fluids of a symptomatic person.

Jallah’s mother has been ordered into isolation by Dallas health officials. Troh was moved Friday from her apartment to an undisclosed house in Dallas, where she remains with her 13-year-old son, Duncan’s cousin and another 20-year-old man. Each had lived in Troh’s apartment, where Duncan stayed.

Troh’s other daughter, Youngor Jallah, 35, who cared for Duncan before calling the ambulance to get him, was told Sunday by CDC officials that she no longer has to isolate herself and her family.

“They came today to say it is okay if I want to go out,” she said.

Re: DALLAS- Ebola contact Youngor Jallah told she doesn't have to isolate any longer
I'm truly not understanding this.

9/27 to 9/28 is when she was supposedly caring for Duncan who was symptomatic for ebola. he incubation period is 21 days.

If we believe Duncan's story. He was infected when his neighbor died and he tried to take her to the hospital on 9/15. Yet he supposedly did not become syptomatic until 9/24. That's 9 days. Yet they want to release this lady after 7 days? That is insane?

And this woman seems like a complete idiot. Even if she does develop symptoms she will wait to be treated until the last minute because she wouldn't want to be quarantined again.

Woman Close to First Ebola Victim in U.S. Watched Fatigue Turn to Fever
Youngor Jallah, a Nurse’s Aide, Called 911 Days After Thomas Duncan Was Sent Home from Hospital
By Dan Frosch
Oct. 3, 2014 2:07 p.m. ET

Moving swiftly into nursing mode, Ms. Jallah took Mr. Duncan’s temperature and blood pressure, while he sipped some tea. He was running a 104 fever, and his blood pressure was low, she said.

At that point, Ms. Jallah decided to call 911. She knew well that Ebola was raging through Liberia. And even though Mr. Duncan never told her that he had been in contact with anyone sick there, she said she wasn’t taking any chances.

“I said you need to go to the hospital,” she said.

When emergency workers arrived, Ms. Jallah informed them that Mr. Duncan was sick and traveled here from a virus-stricken region in Africa. They quickly put masks over their faces before taking Mr. Duncan away.

Several days later, Ms. Jallah and her family are still quarantined in their home. They can’t leave for 16 more days, under instructions from health officials, and they are deeply frustrated.
