Anonymous Coward User ID: 62901994 United States 10/07/2014 09:20 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I remember buying it when it came out and playing it on my shitty 700mhz PC with 4mb integrated graphics haha. Went and bought a 64mb GeForce so I could get decent frame rates and visuals and bought a joystick just for the planes. That game was a huge step forward I think. Up till then everything was just shooting for the most part, like counter strike. Of course CS is still the best FPS ever made IMO. I still play 1.6 pretty regularly. Just can't beat it. Simple mechanics and awesome net code. Love that game. Modern fps games just seem like they're trying too hard or something. Overly complicated and whatnot. CD 1.6 still has huge amounts of people playing it. I haven't played CS:GO but it looks pretty good from what I can tell. Anyone tried it? |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 62901994 United States 10/07/2014 09:24 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I always liked Medal of Honor: Allied Assault. Had to be an amazing sniper to be any good at that game. The leaning and stuff made it crazy competitive. People would be jumping around and leaning and shooting in mid air. Made them insanely hard to hit. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 60344110 United States 10/07/2014 09:28 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Dude, this sounds like an AWESOME night ahead! BF 1942 was SO much fun in the day… sadly, BF3 and BF4 has given way to better graphics and such, but the leveling up system sucks (kids who have 1,000 hours to play get better weapons yet when they drop them from a kill, I start killing them instead as I am an old skool gamer and they can't compete without advantages such as this) OR the worst offenders, hackers! The damn auto-aim, seeing through walls and everything else under the sun. Why are these kids such goddamn wimps and need such things? I know, because guys like me kick their asses all over the field otherwise! Have fun man, wish I was out there playing tonight! |
