The year of the viruses 2015

I am noticing a trend of viruses this year. I suspect 2014 to 2015 will be the winter of the viruses. Ebola, influenza, enterovirus d68, and mononucleosis are a few that are active in the news.
We have a local outbreak of mono here in south texas and have had patients positive for influenza a and b also in the last month.
I am trying to avoid crowds by shopping at odd hours and preparing all my own meals. Holiday shopping is out this year. I'm sticking to the internet.
