It's worth of it. The series was a pioneer and before Rod Serling's, they made the classic formula of presentation and bizarre focus on human condition issues. |

Millennium cut a little to close to home and got axed for it, just my humble opinion. Fringe annoyed the hell out of me with the constantly changing the timelines b.s., mind you it is leap years ahead of the steaming pile that was the Lost finale. |

Quoting: Inerrancia Some of them are TV history, real classics. The interesting thing is how many feedback they have produced between fiction and fact, exploiting and even creating topics on pop culture and conspiracy ítems, UFO folklore and more. There's a lot of them, but I'd like to recall some of them as obvioulsy more important or interesting about the creation and feeding of current myths (or "realities"), according to my memories and tastes. But you can choose and comment whatever you wish on TV stuff about the subject. You forgot "The Lone Gunmen" Even more GLP than X-files IMO, had 9-11 in the pilot episode months before 9-11. I guess Carter made a very good exercise of style with Millennium and its charismatic characters (hommage included in X-Files the Movie). Charisma arcs, dramatic arcs, psychological arcs, a coherent conspiracy tapestry, a good sense of darkness and dry humour and a permanent sense of wonder and intelligence made X-Files an unforgettable classic by itself, not only a so-so interesting pastiche as Lost. If you try to make a poll, you have only some limited options: make a choice, choose one and leave other, it's unevitable. I chose what I think are THE ROOTS of cult TV for GLPers according my tastes of course. Please, comment yoursef the TV series you wish. |
