what of my point that china is not crashing but rather is undergoing a simple revaluation? china, like other countries, must make the excess imaginary money (liquidity) in the system disappear in order to bring the -real- circulating money back to proper value. their "crash" isn't destroying any wealth that was real in the first place. it is removing fake fiat liquidity for a reset that was probably just digits in pboc reserve accounts and never circulated, in order to back the money with their gold reserves.

perhaps, but it has been shown repeatedly that much of what passed for 'chinese stocks' were simply shell companies that produced precisely nothing, yet inexplicably had rather large market values. was fake liquidity 'stashed' in these shell companies in the form of stock purchases that only ever existed in a computer? china is a communist country and by definition that means that productive corporations are all owned by the government and/or central bank. no one is allowed to compete with the government, therefore the notion of productive private sector companies in china (outside of small businesses like shops, of course) makes no sense. so by this logic, a 'crash' in china doesn't destroy their economy nor much wealth except digits in a computer that few ever had access to. that 'crash' is a necessary bookkeeping step if the fiat yuan will become a gold yuan, as most expect. i can't see how american retail affects it much since, like i said, the productive companies in china are government/bank owned and can recapitalize the company at will. i think this 'crash' isn't a crash at all. it is a simple revaluation of the chinese stock market to fall in line with the new value of the yuan after it is declared gold backed.
