I'm not worried about you. Just giving you some advice since you haven't lived very much. After 25 years, I've gotten fairly good at ferreting truth from fiction on the Net.

Not working, been out of work for months, which apparently is a godsend now. hahahaha. but I do have a place to go, just didn't want to do it, too many Mormons in Idaho.

I would think that in a SHTF situation it would be a beneficial thing to have a few Mormons as friends or neighbors. They are encouraged by their Church leaders to be relatively self-sufficient, yet also pride themselves on how they come together and work to solve problems during a crisis. They have generations-worth of survival knowledge and information which I'm sure they'd be glad to share if someone just asks and treats them with respect. I've known several Mormon families over the years, and they've always been helpful, kind, and honest in their dealings with me, even though I didn't belong to their Church.

I spent five years around them.
Mormons are about Mormons.
They may appear friendly but they're about themselves first and foremost.

No, but perhaps doing some prepping now will make future trips unnecessary, future trips which COULD expose you (and your loved ones) to the virus. Besides, once people figure out that something sinister is happening, they'll panic, mob the stores, and empty the shelves. Right now there is ample supply at a normal price.

BTW, if you plan on doing any Christmas shopping, it would be a good idea to do THAT now too, to avoid having to deal with crowds of possibly exposed shoppers. Just a thought...

Back to the topic at hand...I am waiting on a call back from one of my vendors. He has a friend in DHS and he is trying to get confirmation that the info is legit. As soon as I hear back I will post it. Personally hoping he proves it to be false. Really not looking forward to the ensuing shit storm if it's confirmed.

Wouldn't the people lose their security jobs or something? Wouldnt your friend get in trouble and lose his job? He told tou classified info.

you think some rank-and-file turd in the PD or Border Patrol received a confidential email? it was probably a routine email saying it's possible that statistically 300 or more people could be infected by now, or who knows what. They likely didn't understand what they read and the "bouncer" likely didn't understand what was being conveyed. no one that low has actionable intel worth a damn.

I own a company in Houston, one of my employees has a second job as a dooor guy/bouncer at a club in Houston. He works closely with HPD in his job. One the officers he works with has a close friend in Homeland Security/Border Patrol. Last night, he told my employee that he got a classiffied email which said 300 cases of ebola were to be announced in the next few days, I have advised my close friends, and we are all prepped. I hope you do the same. I know this site is full of role players...but I would not fuck around with a subject like this. I will check back in with any info I get. For now, stay safe, be prepped, and never let your guard down!!

Just wanted to drop in to let you know I didn't abandon the thread. I just haven't heard anything solid yet. I did here some rumors from local cops but don't want to throw those in the mix. This shit is scary enough as it is. I noticed a lot of new suspected cases popping up today. Not the kind of news I want to see. Hopefully I'll find something out soon. Until then, be safe.
