Nobody wants doom. We talk about doom on here. When it actually happens people get upset. I don't see your point. Why don't you clarify your sweeping statement with some proof or examples.

mine has been and is, totally opposite from the OPs assumption

Huge variety of motives. I suspect some people, the one's you're talking about, are just tired and would love some socially acceptable reason to fail, to just lie down and rest.

I reply to a lot of threads here but that doesn't mean anything in particular :-)

they will be recompensed in the near future for having desired such

and will receive more horrific doom on a personal level than even they could have imagined in fact

they will be fleeing from a lion and be met with a bear so to speak...

and etc., ad infinitum

they will lean upon a wall and be bitten by a viper, et al

their wishful thinking in anothers regard will not be wasted upon others but returned onto their own unwitting heads

and no amount of pleading nor fleeing will avail them of any relief between now and the end of this Age

I just love how friendly people are with each other, when they are the only humans around.
