Bell tragedy... Sheriff wanted to make headlines with his drug busts..??
I find it necessary to connect dots...

The "tragedy" in Bell, FL
[link to www.gilchristcountyjournal.net]

*snip* Don Spirit, 51, reportedly called 911 around 4 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 18 and told a dispatcher that he had killed his family members and would kill himself.

A few weeks later...

13 arrested in Operation Fair Warning
[link to www.gilchristcountyjournal.net]

*snip* Barr’s four children were turned over to the Florida Department of Children and Families.
The search warrant at Athena Barr’s home was executed on the last day of September as part of Operation Fair Warning, which is an ongoing effort to investigate and arrest individuals who sell, distribute or possess illegal narcotics in Gilchrist County.

And then this BS from the Gainesville Sun...

DCF: There was nothing to predict Bell shootings
[link to www.gainesville.com]

*snip* The interim chief of the Florida Department of Children and Families said Wednesday a review of 18 cases involving the neglect, physical abuse, domestic violence and drug use that surrounded a Bell family of six children and their mother who were shot to death last month by a suicidal grandfather determined there was nothing to predict the tragedy.

Don't you think after 18 reports to Child/Family Services SOMETHING should have been done for those 6 children? Ohhh... perhaps the Spirit family was on that "Fair Warning" list of drug offenders scheduled to be poped.?? and perhaps.. to make the Sheriffs department look like they had been doing something productive and noble DCF would swoop in and "save" the children AFTER "operation Fair Warning"??? ? Was DCF told to hold off till 'the BIG Bust'??

They could not have executed the 'Fair Warning' operation any earlier, because it would NOT have had enough effect on the election coming up in November. On the Florida ballot is a medical Marijuana Amendment. The Florida Sheriff's Association is pushing the BS about "Don't let Florida go to pot" campaign, and doing their best to portrait Marijuana as a dangerous drug.

WHAT would happen if the people found out that the children died because the sheriff wanted to make headlines with his big drug busts and held off DCF ??

These questions and more will never be answered, due to the lack of BALLS, and no one willing to look for the TRUTH.

I would like to hear what others think of this.

I believe the children were left in that home on purpose, so when operation "Fair Warning" went down, the sheriff of Gilchrist County would get a even bigger 'pat on the back' for saving them from a "drug environment.

After all, the family was under investigation, and supposedly the house was under survalience for drug activity...

Leave the children there, so that more charges could be added to the adults of the dwelling.

If this 'assumption' were to be proven to be true, how many police and state workers would then be under investigation?

How deep does the rabbit hole go in law enforcement? I'm sure after being investigated by other law enforcement officers, they would find their co-worker to be "just an all around good guy, doing the best he can for the God fearing community."

Its a very rural, very economically depressed area with not many job opportunities. Drugs probably provide relief from boredom and economic incentives if you traffic. Sad really, its a beautiful area.

I'm very familiar with Bell Fl and I read about the case. I don't know if you are correct or not... But as crooked as the politics are there, I wouldn't be surprises.

Cronyism.

Protecting the profits and campaign contributions. The campaign against is just smoke and mirrors. The established funders of Cronyism stand to benefit regardless. They get to dominate the market, the bench, the sheriffs, all voted in positions, and appointed positions regardless if it passes or not. No change in the markets, no change in corruption with exception to structure and increases in both.

That is why those children stayed there, meeting their demise. Likely, because of outside-outside pressure to do something for them. Unfortunate, the outside-outside pressure did not handle it; For, the corruption within is to overwhelming regardless of anyone's position on the matters.

It wont happen because you are trying to connect things to a murder that do not connect, whatsoever, no matter how you slice it.

Don Spirit was simply a violent, unpredictable, careless MAN, like many are today. NO ONE CANT PREDICT when these fuckers will loose it, or screw up and cause injury to another.

12 years ago, in 2001, Don Spirit shot his 8-year-old son in the head. He was arrested for possession of an illegal firearm and spent three years in prison.

Another factor regarding these fucked up violent unpredictable and careless men is that their family is consistantly covering up and making excuses for their
moronic behavior because of sexual and psychol9gical abuse.

His daughter, the one he killed had previously called 911 on Don Spirit for domestic violence. She then stole a car and went to prison.

Just a fucked up family, breeding when they should not be. The town isnt bad, neither are the cops. IT IS THE PEOPLE.
