If it comes back positive, watch the whole US go bat shit crazy! Quoting: 411 When Dallas nurse Nina Pham was diagnosed with Ebola earlier this month, her dog was placed in quarantine. Now the King Charles Spaniel named Bentley will be tested for any sign of the Ebola virus. "At this time, this specimen collection process is only expected to happen three times within the remainder of the quarantine period," Dallas Animal Services said in a statement released on Sunday. "This is the least invasive and safest way to conduct the testing process for Bentley." Bentley was seized from Pham's apartment on October 11 and is being quarantined at the Hensley Field Services Center on West Jefferson Avenue. The Centers for Disease Control says there have been no reports of dogs or cats falling ill with Ebola, nor is there any evidence that pets can spread the virus to other people or pets. MORE.... [link to www.wfaa.com] :dog1: But there is evidence that they can carry it in their blood. Please pray for Bentley everyone. |

[link to www.wfaa.com] The Centers for Disease Control says there have been no reports of dogs or cats falling ill with Ebola That's because they do not "fall ill". They are asymptomatic carriers. CDC: "Dogs appear to be the first animal species shown to be naturally and asymptomatically infected by Ebola virus." and... nor is there any evidence that pets can spread the virus to other people or pets. Really? CDC: This study offers the first evidence that dogs might be asymptomatically infected by Ebola virus in the wild. This finding has potential implications for preventing and controlling human outbreaks. [link to wwwnc.cdc.gov] Also from that same link..."Asymptomatic Ebola infection in humans have also been observed during outbreaks but is very rare." That makes me question Duncan's "family". |
