Price of cigarettes...what's the difference?
The price of Benson and Hedges has risen to $23 per packet of 25s in Australia. I tried a friends John Player Special and it tasted the same...except it cost $15.50 per packet. Then I bought a packet of Rothmans...also tasted pretty much the same and also $15.90 for 25.

I swapped from Winfield Blue a long time ago because they got too burny, strong, cigary. they were also same price as B and H.

Why are some cigs so much cheaper than others when they taste the same? Its not the pretty packaging anymore as they are all ugly....so why else?

Here a pack of local cigarettes Derby Red cost $3 per pack of 20. They taste the same as what I used to smoke in Canada.

and i still pay $1/pack, laughing at all the suckers that STILL buy packaged cigarettes. might not taste as good without all the 199 chemical additives though. but i wouldn't know.

I can tell the difference in cigarettes. If I am going to continue on the path to emphysema, I might as well do it in style with the expensive smokes.

I roll my own, buy the tobacco 5lb. at a time and 10,000 papers too, costs under $100 and lasts a bit more than a year.

Re: Price of cigarettes...what's the difference?
tailor cigarettes all started tasting disgusting when they were made "fire safe" and added a chemical (ethylene vinyl acetate) to counteract the propellant that they put in there to make them burn faster. Caus thats logic right there!
