NW NC - sky looks like graph paper - starting to really piss me off

We live in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Often I go outside and see con/chemtrails(?). However early this morning, I took the dog out and the sky looks like graph paper! It's ridiculous!

This is the best I could do for a photo--it's only a portion of the sky overhead.

Seriously, what the hell is going on? Why aren't more people upset about this? The trails...whatever they are...then finally dissipate into a crappy haze all over the sky when otherwise we would have a beautiful view of the mountains. I think they are spraying something, but even if they aren't, why are they flying back and forth so much?? What is blatantly going on that nobody (regular people) seems to notice??
