As I understand it, this will attack everything we eat or drink to LIVE. When we eat or drink anything infected with it , it attacks us and we die. Just like the people who have been severely crippled by the flesh eating disease (CYNTHIA) in the gulf only way to save the host is to cut off the infected limbs.

OP your story sounds so far fetched that it is probably true (truth being stranger than fiction). I ve looked up a few names already and they check out.
Can you tell us how quickly this organism spreads.
And how long will it take to completely destroy a complex organism like say a fish the size of a plate. Also if it is eating up the gulf seafood why are the fisheries not coming out with the info?

Thank-you for the information, OP. We live near the GOM. All my life, I ate shrimp-it was my favorite food. After the spill, I would not eat shrimp for a couple of years. Then I decided to give it a try. A while after eating it, my stomach started bothering me. I figured maybe I was coming down with a bug. The next week I had another shrimp dish and the same thing happened. That was it for me. I always felt we were so blessed to live in an area with an abundance of seafood. Now, the abundance has been cursed by BP and the others.
Yes, there is still oil from the spill. Clumps still wash ashore.

Life will go on, hopefully... Perhaps we will all be born as grey goo in our next reincarnations.
