I believe he protects some, and allows many to be martyred for their faith, if they hold true until the end. Make no mistake, the bible tells us this will be the greatest persecution of Christians the world has ever seen. Its possible only Jewish Christians in Judea will be protected and all others will be martyred for the faith. I am prepared to be protected or to be martyred. Either way, all is as God wills it.

There is a scripture about being tormented by the beast for 10 days and then being martyred at the end of that time. I will find it and post it in a minute.

What is The Time of Jacob's Trouble?

Check this site out, it's shows some good information on those that are martyred for their faith and killed in general during the tribulation. Keep in mind, the tribulation is broken up into two parts, the tribulation before the abomination of desolation at the mid point and the great tribulation after it. I believe most Christians will be martyred during the great tribulation. If I have to be one of those, so be it. I am ready.

Read the passage in Luke 17, 20-37. It clearly describes a false rapture event in which those that are taken are taken to die. They may not have a choice if they are taken or not, that's true. All the more reason to seek Jesus now and not just believe in the things he taught, but DO them as well as believe.

The martyrs are already Children of God........having made the decision to follow Christ before this time......at some point of time in the past.


On a smaller scale, God sent a delusion upon the King of Egypt........so that he would not let Israel go......even after seeing all the miracles. Many years this King persecuted Israel.....and worshipped idols. God turned him over to this.

And by "Church", I do not mean Rome, but "believers in Jesus Christ".

Daniel intervened for Israel......and asked God how long the punishment would last......how long God would hide His face from Israel.

He was given the 70 weeks of years answer by an angel.


After the final 7 years are done........the remnant of Israel who survive......will see the one whom they have pierced......and the whole land will mourn.


Then new convenant salvation will come to Israel.....and God will put His Spirit inside them.

I know exactly what the purpose is. Its Gods last great warning to mankind to find salvation.

Men will even try to kill themselves during the horrifying judgments, they will seek death, and God will not allow them to find it, death will flee from them in order to give those men more time to accept Jesus and find salvation in Christ, in the the truth.

The whole tribulation is Gods tool to bring as many as will believe to him amid great signs of his heavenly power to convince them of his existence. Its a shame we as a people have progressed to the point that we need such a demonstration of power to convince us of the truth.

Luke 17, 20-37 Jesus is speaking to the Jew not the Bride of Christ.

See.., we are not Jews, we are the Bride of Christ. True that we have been grafted into the covenant of Abraham, but that doesn't change the context matter of of Luke 17.

Jesus was clearly speaking to the Jew and of the end of the Tribulation.

See that's the Jesus / Michael/ arch angle thing. Jesus who apparently had ab blood by shroud of Turin, said play right bitches, play fair, don't destroy the world, or else, live by the sword die by it.

Every word spoken to the Jews now applies to all believers, and every word spoken to the believers in Christ now applies to the Jews. All of our only hope is believing in him and walking in his ways. Jesus said I have not come to abolish the law, but to fulfill it. Not saying the old Jewish law applies to everyone, don't take me out of context, but I'm saying that while you are saying Luke 17 20-37 is being spoken exclusively to the Jews, Jesus himself made no such distinction. He was speaking to everyone, Jew and gentile alike. Jesus is a saviour to all and his words were spoken and applied to all men, everywhere.

Sorry, that's where many are going wrong here. You need to learn to differentiate between what was being said to the Jew and what was being said to the Church.

Once you have discovered this, Gods Holy Word becomes very clear on this subject. I hope and pray everyone here can wrap their head around this!

there are many purposes, but one will be to give those that weren't taken in the pre-trib rapture event a last chance to accept the free gift of salvation before it is too late.

Those that hadn't made the choice for Christ before the rapture event are the ones that will go through the tribulation.
