If time is simultaneous, are we already dead at some future point? |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 65928520 United Kingdom 12/10/2014 01:01 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | If time is simultaneous, are we already dead at some future point? Some say time is linear , but some say time is a simultaneous energy floating back and forth and happening all at the same time. does that mean that we are alive now [we think] but are also dead in the future at the same time? also unborn? |

Yes. Time is nonlinear.
Quoting: Anonymous Coward 65906835 So we are unborn, alive AND dead all at the same time? Quoting: Anonymous Coward 65928520 From what I understand I would say yes. Everything is relative to the observer. |

Everything is relative to the observer. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 65906835 That then means, if we are dead or unborn, we should be able to move to a time when we are "alive". |

No it branches but will always consolidate back to itself in circumstances like a black hole/gravity well. Anyone noticed the weird gaps in the Berenstain/Berenstein threads? That would be a point of effect of the consolidation of relative time when multiple abstracts of same trunk of time branch and reconvene at 'the end of time' during transition. It is confusing, but even as we stand here all other time exists simultaneously in a gravity well that extends well beyond the boundaries of this 'reality'.
As in all events past, present and future are all 'here' in 'time'. It's best not to think about it too much, the idea that while an individual is sitting waiting in transition, in a 'slice' of time adjunct to them there might be a bird flying around...or a elephant having a snack.
Again, time is only relative to the person perceiving the moment and indeterminate by the shared experience. |
