Dish, at one time had a moon channel. It has been gone for a while.

LOL OP I have always thought about this, why not have a geostationary satellite that's only purpose, is to show us a live stream of the earth? I mean, hell it can't be that expensive and it also would pay for itself by allowing the entire world to see how stupid all our little troubles are and that we're all here together, living as one..

I think this is a great idea. Start a kickstarter. I'll help fund it! If you need ideas for reward levels for different levels of funding let me know. My ideas are a dime a dozen!
 Quoting: Coppercoal

I appreciate the enthusiasm Coppercoal, but let me rephrase my question...

With the trillions upon trillions of $ taken from us plebs, why is it that in 2014, we don't have a public live feed from the moon of the moon? It's 'right there' dammit, it's not like we're talking about going to Mars here lol... ;)

If there is a feed and i'm just too rusty with my search engine research skills please, let me know the link(s)...I just find it unfathomable that there can't be at least ONE in 2014 if the moon is as they say it is...

Budget is not a problem. That's a lie they can use as excuse.
They have sent lizards in space so they can fck in space, so scientist can analyze results. Lol

Will never happen, just like moon travel never happened, unless someone invents a way of travelling through our Magnetosphere's min temp of @58,000 degrees C.

I cant see any earthly metal that can withstand such temperatures.

We are Earth's prisoner, TBTB obviously realize this now and will want to claim Earth and resources unto itself.. with only a skeleton staff of half a billion to keep the wheels turning. Get the picture yet?

Thank you for proving you don't know the difference between temperature and heat. The particles there can be that hot but because they are few and far between they don't transfer heat well.

Re: Live cam feed FROM the moon
Infact, current science does not explain well what the heat is.

:truestory:
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 66174829

obfuscation. True story.

The fact remains, nothing we make can survive a trip into the magnetosphere. Space travel to the moon let alone distant planets is pure science fiction. Enjoy the show.

then explain the ISS which can be seen and then explain STEREO which consists of satellites that can see the back side of the Sun and have seen sunspots before they were visible on Earth.

lol, a qualified idiot you are.

You think that's a rebuttal?
I'm not the one who believes that such a rarefied plasma could melt an ice cube, never mind metal.

You're not a moran because you're ignorant, btw, you're a moran because you're arrogantly ignorant of your ignorance.

I am not saying we went or did not go to the moon, and I find your point abiut the magnetosphere interesting. However two points : The HIGHEST temp being 58k or so from the low point being much lower ( ten degrees c ?) I imagine the high tempatures do not hold this temp for very much space (very small pockets) so you only need something that can absorb and CONDUCT these temps. second point : metal is more than obviously not the way to go, but some sort of ceramic bonded material, possible ceramics and metals.

Re: Live cam feed FROM the moon
PPS ...not to mention I do not know how much heat energy tranfers through conduction from the tempature whithin the substance of space ..

You never really touched on this point.or maybe you think tempature equals infrared energy???
