I had imagined one of my parents not my child. Quoting: Eleven-15 I thought I was strong but I am not. I lost my son in law and then my son. It has been the worst thing I have ever gone through. I now have 4 grandchildren without a father and that is the saddest of all. My prayers are with you. |

Quoting: Tell Me Lies This would be a great idea. I have utterly no idea how to do it, could you ask a mod? or maybe someone already knows. there was the lovely thread about the girl who needed a trumpet, did not save the thread, but she got her trumpet via GLP and was able to post a photo of herself holding it and playing it. It was just done for AG on Chip's thread, maybe he can help facilitate for Eleven. gotcha. Thanks. will look into it tomorrow. This is so very sad. There is a theory which states that if ever anyone discovers exactly what the Universe is for and why it is here, it will instantly disappear and be replaced by something even more bizarre and inexplicable. There is another theory mentioned, which states that this has already happened. |

User ID: 16885189 United States 12/22/2014 04:29 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Saw this a few days ago, but I am so sorry for the loss........my grandparents (grandparent now), lost both their son and daughter as well as a son in a law all the span of 3 years.....(the last one coming after my grandfather had already passed). I can't begin to imagine how hard it must be to watch your kid go before you even moreso at such a young age......I just know it can suck......wish you peace and healing in the days ahead...... No one is perfect. A babe before walking will first stumble and fall many times but NEVER gives up until he succeeds. Always remember, ultimately, to never follow any person's belief. Your relationship with God is between you and God. If nothing else, remember this: religion = subservience, control and conformity, the same template as EVERY government "Most believers would kill truth if truth threatened their religion." L. K. Washburn "This crime called blasphemy was invented by priests for the purpose of defending doctrines not able to take care of themselves." Robert Ingersoll "If anyone wants to know how God feels, it's a warm light as if the sun is poking through dark clouds and lifting your spirits with pure joy." |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 58955015 Australia 12/22/2014 06:26 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | In 1989 I 'died' on the operating table, and went to a place of such unspeakable beauty and love, that people would never fear death if they knew what awaits. There was such a sense of homecoming and rejoicing, and it was a great relief to leave behind the material world. I communed there briefly with my father, my grandmother, and my 'guardian angel' (for lack of a better term.) My grandmother told me, "You must go back, your work on earth is not done, there are many people that you will help." I did not want to return but saw that it was not my time and there was no choice offered. I received assurance that when I did finally return to them, they would be waiting to welcome me home at last. Quoting: Windsage I tell you this not to draw attention to my own story but so that you may be comforted about the unknown aspect of what we call 'death'. During this difficult time of transition, please remember that love is the greatest reality. wow, this is so beautiful to read. Sure it is. Beautiful words indeed. Hope OP and all others doing OK. |

User ID: 64837930 United States 12/22/2014 09:43 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Oh, Eleven, dear tender Mommy. There is no event in life more raw than this, and the only immunity is to decide not have a child at all. The best we can do is try to head them off at the pass to keep our babies safe, and I'm certain your being her touchstone while your girl experimented in life she was testing her own abilities to be an adult in her own right. Then of course went and skinned her knee again (as we all do) in this profoundly irrevocable way. There is no emotion tougher than grief, the invisible wound that has you in it's grip and makes you want to turn away from people because this is just too raw. I do think though, as you are living this harshest of life's experience when you are ready or desperate (more like) to connect with others who have lost a child and finding their awkward ways to go through and continue on. These are the only ones that know the interior of your heart and mind. At some point I hope you reach out to them to help one another process this most impossible heartbreak of an event. Love is your unbreakable and unbroken golden cord that withstands all visible and invisible variables of life..for all time and comes back around to find us once again to our relieved ecstatic joy. I think what we suspect is true really is true. And that your daughter can hear you and you can talk to her especially at this early time. In the meantime, honey try to at least to sip some broth and keep your support going off and on as you feel it. If you don't feel like eating then freeze some for when you can. Touch and go as you will. Do not feel guilty for needing to seal yourself off..you are wounded. Touch and go. No relationship is ever perfect, but the love between you and your daughter goes on uninterrupted. (((((((((((Embraces and comfort Mommy)))))))))) We love you and we're in this together even though you feel so alone you are connected to us all. Last Edited by DawaSatso on 12/22/2014 09:48 AM |
