Yeah, I think a nice long vaca to some deserted island to get his thoughts together would help...perhaps a decade or two?

That sounds tempting

Let me consider that

I would like to change my environment as I think that would help with the healing process

Only if it's court ordered or is done by a guardian can you NOT check yourself out. That seems not to be the case here. And seems unnecessary.

first off I'm driving so if there's any spelling mistakes it's because of the voice recognition .

I too was in a bad car accident , and I had a severe concussion . because of that any little knock on the head would cause another concu sion . I've had seven so far . my post concussion syndrome was so bad I couldn't remember the smallest things . and my severe headaches when last for weeks at a time . my balance was horrible , my speech was she said he wanted to put me on paxil at night. Do the chemistry in m

y brain . lurred ,and I would always drop things . I was seeing a neurologist , and he wanted to put me on Paxil . I was also seeing a chiropractor at the time . he warned me against taking Paxil . good thing because since then I've known three people that committed suicide while on it .

anyway I decided to go to natural route . I took up Taekwondo for my balance . and continue to see the chiropractor for my headaches . it took some time but I ended up getting better . it's been years since I've had a concussion , and I feel like everything is back to normal now . so don't give up hope ,vbut please stay away from the narcotics , they will damage you more than they will help you .

There is no hope.

You are done... Once 10,000 posts on GLP is hit, the brain can never recover.

I'm sorry to deliver the bad news...

With over 80,000 posts, you have ZERO hope of recovery.

Donate your brain to science when you die... They need to study the atrophy caused by GLP.

Geeze, I'm sorry you had to go through that, OP.

I think that OP is thinking about this right now as
it is Christmas and lots of us turn our thoughts back
to the past and self-reflect (if we aren't too frantic
and caught-up with the commercialism.) It is a natural
thing--in some circumstances during holidays--to think about how families and healthy people seem to be
all having a jolly great time and you may be living
in your van with your dog because of an accident...
and those turkey TV dinners really makes things worse.

Things that don't kill us make us stronger--I truly
believe that and I've been through a great deal myself.
Best wishes to you for healing--there are things that will help. Putting down the alcohol is really important, by the way--it can keep the brain inflammed as it raises your blood pressure.

I would go see a neauroligist and see what they can do for you. Number one thing is probably try to limit inflamation. Don't get dehydrated, the brain is the first part of the body to get dehydrated. And get back to exercising, start slow but get in descent shape, somehow it helps the brain.
