The energy of earth's magnetic field is immense compared to the energy in LHC magnets. The energy of the colliding particles is comparable to that of two semis colliding. Yeah, the acceleration energy is huge, but the mass of particles is so small that the kinetic energy is mundane. Radiation? LHC does not release lethal radiation. It's too well shielded and, believe me, accelerator people know how to shield their machines. If it did release so much radiation, no-one would be able to work in the vicinity of the ring. |

This is a serious subject, as this coming Spring, for the first time in history, collisions will involve the possible production of heavy quanta and the much sort after, dark matter. As in any 'experiment' there is an element of risk, of unknown reactions and or equipment failure, such as the quench systems that are designed to quickly shut down the beams in an emergency. However, imo the biggest risk lies with the chance of dimensional breach, which is feasible even at minute scale. This then very much supports the obscure ramblings of the entity. |

Magnet quenching is a real danger, with only a small fraction (10-6) needed to quench a SM. A quenched dipole will require a beam dump in a single turn - 7 TeV (720 MJ) dissipated in 89 ms! An error in dumping the beam will expose accelerator components to serious radiation risk. [link to www.lhc-closer.es] It's still an experiment and errors are human. If we knew any outcome on forehand, it wouldn't be an experiment anymore and CERN wouldn't exist. |

Atomic explosions in the stellar interior are violent enough to push motion past the speed of light, something that cannot be accomplished by electromagnetic means in particle accelerators. For example, take U-236. Uranium is element #92, so it's natural mass is 184 (twice the element number) and the remaining 54 units of mass are “isotopic mass,” an accumulation of mass (neutrinos) that forms the 236 isotope. 184+52=236. Once U-236 is accelerated past the speed of light, the inversion takes place and the stable zone becomes 184-52 = 132. The atom has to throw off 104 units of mass (2x52) to become stable at FTL speed. This throwing off of isotopic mass is radioactive emission. If you think back to the days of Bob Lazar and his claims that UFO propulsion used element 115… well, 115 has a natural mass of 230 and an estimated mass of 288, meaning there are 58 units of isotopic mass. 115 is highly unstable at speeds less than light, but only has a mass of 172 at FTL speeds, completely stable. Pull it out of the reactor, though, and you'll be bombarded with x-rays to the point of glowing in the dark. This is why the FTL drives are never shut down. Which brings me to the reciprocal process, matter dropping from FTL to sub-light speeds. X-Ray Emission: FTL to Sub-light Speed When high-speed matter drops below the speed of light, it must reacquire the isotopic mass it lost. In U-236, the FTL mass was only 132. When it drops back to sub-light speed, that mass must increase back up to 236 amu, which is kind of backwards radio, active emission on the other side of the speed of light boundary, the atom absorbs particles and emits x-rays, not radio waves, as it builds mass back. All elements dropping from FTL motion to sub-light will emit x-rays, and all astronomical x-ray emitters are demonstrating this process, including our sun. The only sub-light speeds in the sun are in the photosphere. Once you get deeper inside, the magnetic ionization level is much higher and the age limit destructions are constantly accelerating matter to FTL speeds, which is why the lower layers of the photosphere are a radio source—it is the boundary to FTL motion. Every now and again, the sun burps12 and some FTL matter comes out from the core to the photosphere, immediately starts cooling and drops below the speed of light generating a burst of x-rays and a rapidly expanding plasma, a coronal mass ejection. Because of the reciprocal relation, FTL motion is expanding in time, so compressing in space. When it drops sub-light, that compression re-expands like a spatial explosion. So CMEs are a good indicator of how turbulent the core is at FTL velocities. Now you know that the reciprocal process to radioactive emission is x-ray emission, and both have to do with crossing the FTL boundary (sub-light motion in 3D space to FTL motion in 3D time). FTL acceleration produces radioactivity; deceleration produces x-rays. TO MAKE IT EASY AGAIN: not everyone agrees to a lot of theories in science like the way x-rays are produced, still the guys at LHC use it as factual evidence to proof their point that a hypothetical stable black hole can be shown to be harmless by studying the consequences of their production by cosmic rays. ( [link to press.web.cern.ch] ) As long as there are multiple theories about how the universe works, you cannot use it as a valid ground to tell the world that creating microscopic black holes are harmless. The movie Interstellar mentioned an emotional scene (a father suffering in his heart because the imperceptible slowing-down of time that holds true for him near a mega black hole implies that his beloved young daughter will no longer be a child on his impending return) is now an eye-opener for the whole planet to think about it again. The once recognized “freezing of time near a black hole” was forgotten by the profession. It's 'playing with fire' for sure Well, we can't stay ignorant forever...isn't that why the gods gave us fire in the first place? Not to mention, IMO, CERN is telling the public it is for 'one thing' when in reality it is for *another*... And with that I will shut my mouth and see myself out... |
